Camilla Belle: Jezebel Magazine, February 2011

Whoever styled - and groomed - this stunner needs a raise.

I have always admired Camilla Belle's style, but something about her never quite hit the mark with me. That's the thing with style/girl crushes - there needs to be total appeal.

This shoot does it, in spades.

Beautifully styled, Camilla looks ... beyond.

The hair, the make-up, those dresses... perfection.

Chrissy L Accessories - Celebrity Fave

Chrissy L accessories is killing it in the US - and what a pleasure to see an Aussie brand resonating so well with the spoilt-for-choice American starlets.

These two pieces, from the forthcoming Autumn/Winter 2011 GLAMROCK collection (launching March 1, 2011) are called the 'glam ring' in turquoise - as worn by Hollywood actress Minka Kelly, and the venom earrings in silver (oh my, yes please!) as worn by the cute-as Holly Madison.

The Real Housewives of Orange County - Series 5 Premiere

The series 5 premiere of The Real Housewives of Orange County is on tonight January 25, at 8.30pm on Arena.

This quintet - although the line-up has changed over the years - is the original bunch of women to have kicked off the Real Housewives franchise. Since theirs screened in 2006, The Real Housewives of New York City premiered in 2008, then The Real Housewives of New Jersey and The Real Housewives of Atlanta, with the latter premiering in 2008, the former in 2009.

The latest spin-offs are: The Real Housewives of Washington, D.C. (not forgetting the forgettable spin-off show from season 1 O.C. housewife Jo De La Rosa called Date My Ex: Jo & Slade), and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (featuring Paris Hilton's aunts, no less) - both these Real Housewives are yet to screen here.

According to TV Fanatic and OK Magazine, Bravo is thinking about expanding their empire to Dubai. In Greece, The Real Housewives of Athens begun airing on Antenna TV in October 2010, while 'The Real Kids Of LA' was later changed to LA Prep, spinoff of NYC Prep.

Phew! Clearly, when you're onto a good thing...

The show's title and introduction alludes to the hit show Desperate Housewives, as well as the now defunct teen drama The OC and touts itself as these two fictional shows' "real-life" counterpart.

It certainly bears no resemblance to my life, clearly... but that's the reason I can't help but be completely addicted.

The Real Housewives of Orange County Series 5 premieres tonight on Arena at 8.30pm, available through Foxtel and Austar.

Britain's Next Top Model 2011 - featuring Elle Macpherson

TV shows which centre on modelling comps - who woulda thought them such a successful recipe for glued-to-the-telly viewing.

The "Next Top Model" franchise - founded by [megalomaniac] Tyra Banks - has seen the comp translated to many countries.

Yes, the Australia's Next Top Model phenom is all Banks's brainchild, and has intro-ed us to the likes of bogan Cassi, bitch-slaps galore... and that botched winner's speech from Sarah Murdoch (ratings bonanza - kerching!)

And now, Britain's Next Top Model makes it Australian TV debut - with supermodel Elle Macpherson at the helm - when it premieres in FOX8’s “Top Model Tuesday” timeslot tonight, January 25 at 7.30pm.

The 45-year-old (you know, "The Body"), will preside over the sixth series of Britain’s hit reality show, in which 25 aspiring models compete for a modelling contract. Aussie Elle will also serve as an executive producer on the series.

In a statement announcing her new role, Macpherson said: "I am really enthusiastic and motivated to work with the team of Britain's Next Top Model.

"We are looking forward to finding the face that can represent the next generation."

Casting their critical eye over the contestants’ progress, and making and breaking dreams along the way, are a fresh panel of judges – acclaimed designer Julien Macdonald, celebrated stylist Grace Woodward and leading male model Charley Speed.

In a first for the British version, during the live finale the judges will put the deciding vote into the hands of the viewers who will select the model they think deserves to win the top fashion prize (just make sure you get 'fed' the right winner there, 'kay?).

The winner will walk away with a contract with Models 1, a cover spread with Company and a campaign with Revlon.

Britain's Next Top Model Premieres tonight, Tuesday January 25 at 7.30pm on FOX8, and will screen every Tuesday at 7.30pm.

L'Oreal Star Products of 2010

I am a bit of a make-up philanderer - I will try anything and everything, and fall in love on a daily basis with myriad beauty products.

In all my years as a former beauty editor - and currently as beauty writer - I have found that I am really rather partial to L'Oreal products. A bit in love, actually.

In fact, L'Oreal eyeshadows are all I use (have you seen - and felt - these amazingly longlasting formulations and colour palettes? You'd be pretty loyal too!)

The L'Oreal Brow Stylist is my absolute staple - and brings to full circle my love affair with the brand: I first tried a L'Oreal product (a version of their brow pencil) back in 1998 in Memphis of all places. I came across a huge department store and was mesmerised by the huge L'Oreal display. As my brows have always been fair (Italian roots? You wouldn't think so!) this soon became my 'desert island' staple, my can't live without beauty must-have. If I do one thing to my face in the AM to look decent, it's my brows. This baby never fails me.

The gold and silver palettes I use often (beyond fab on eyelids) and the Elvive Total Repair Night Elixir leaves hair molten-soft without lifting a finger.

The mascaras, wowser - essential. The moisturisers - never failed me (tinted ones? Oh my - too brill). The Youth Code range takes skincare on a whole other level. And that Perfect Clean with the cute gizmo sponge - my skin feels so alive after I wash off my daily masterpiece.
So, what does L'Oreal have in store for us in 2011? Just you wait and see...
