Leonardo DiCaprio Wins First Oscar: VIDEO

The world (not all of the world, you understand, buy a world which I am interested in today) is SO looking forward to Leonardo DiCaprio winning his FIRST OSCAR, goddammit.

This article sums ups how we feel right now:

Leonardo DiCaprio is going to win his first Academy Award on Sunday night. You might as well get used to that, because it's going to happen. It's not like he ate raw liver and slept inside a horse carcass for fun, right?
The Revenant is like a big middle finger to the Academy. When you're willing to debase yourself to this extent — and act so hard while you're doing it — you pretty much can't lose. Expect Leo's acceptance speech to go something like this: "I have literally crawled through the muck on hands and knees for you people. F*ck off."
UPDATED:

Here is THE speech, the Leo speech we have ALL been waiting for, imagine, dreaming about... sigh:

And his Tweet about his victory:

And.. here is the video game where Leo is chasing an Oscar. YES, really. Try it... we did!

Chris Rock: Opening Monologue 2016 Oscars VIDEO

Oscars 2016 host Chris Rock went hard on the wit factor in a year when #OscarsSoWhite was trending, in opposition to NO nominees of colour for the year's awards show.

In his opening monologue at the 2016 Academy Awards Chris went in immediately addressing the race-equality issues plaguing this year's Oscar noms.

Watch the clip they will all be talking about:

Thoughts?

Some take away pearlers:

- On why he didn’t boycott the Oscars on principle: “The last thing I need is to lose another job to Kevin Hart!” - Guffaws all 'round. True, that. He busy, that Kevin.

- Chris said that other years, black people didn’t protest the Oscars because they were “too busy being raped and lynched to care about who won Best Cinematographer. When your grandmother’s swinging from a tree, it’s really hard to care about Best Documentary Foreign — Short.” - Oh my, breaktaking.
- “Jada [Pinkett-Smith] boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties — I wasn’t invited!” - Best. Line. Ever.
- Chris also made fun of the #askhermore movement to query women on the red carpet about more than their outfits; he joked that the only reason men are asked more is that their looks are boring. “If George Clooney showed up with a lime green tux on and a swan coming out his ass, somebody would ask, ‘What’re you wearing, George?'” - Yesss. Someone finally said it.
LOVE THIS MAN!

Adidas jacket colour: VIRAL PHOTO

Oh no!

Exactly one year (yesterday) when THAT DRESS and its colours were questioned - was it blue and black or white and gold - read it HERE - this. The Adidas jacket.

Tumblr user poppunkblogger uploaded the image with the caption, “I hate to make a new blue/black white/gold dress meme but my friend has this jacket and she says it’s white and blue but i see black and brown pls tell me what you see”.
Social media 'exploded' with posts, of course, with many people seeing blue and white, others seeing black and brown, and a few even finding it to look green and gold.
Some people are also saying the colour changes depending on what device you’re viewing it on. Well, der...
So, thoughts...?

Kim Kardashian West Son Saint: FIRST PHOTO

Kim Kardashian West has just shared the first photo of three month old son Saint, through her app and website. Here is the photo:

In cute pic, baby Saint - who is dressed in a white thermal onesie - is sleeping as he lays with his arms up in the air.
Says the caption:
Today is my dad's birthday. I know there's nothing more in the world he would have wanted than to meet his grandchildren. So I wanted to share this pic of Saint with you all.
Kardashian West, who gave birth to Saint on December 5, had previously shared a simple pic of Saint's hand around his big sister North's finger.
Kardashian West, 35, captioned that photo: “She said ‘He’s my best friend.’ ”
So there you have it folks. Super cute, I gotta say.
And now you can sleep... and I can go back to bed. (It's 1.30am in Australia, Tues AM).

'Friends' Reunion 2016: VIDEO

So... the cast of 'Friends' (minus Matthew Perry - who could not be as he is currently running a play   had a reunion... but it was actually an NBC tribute to sitcom director James Burrows. Here is the (as best as I could get quality) video:

Some interesting tidbits about the show, as revealed at the reunion:
- the cast did not sign a contract saying they would not sleep with each other, according to Lisa Kudrow.
- in the early days of the show, the cast would watch the show together and give each other notes... something Courteney Cox picked up from Seinfeld.
- Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, and Cox had lunch together every single day... yes, for ten years. They would eat the same food each day - a salad Courteney called a ”Jennifer salad.”
- it's well known that Aniston initially auditioned for the part of Monica, and Cox tried out for the part of Rachel.
- The cast loved filming the flashback episodes: when Monica was a bigger girl, and Rachel was yet to get a nose job.
- how could Monica and Rachel afford that Manhattan apartment? It was all down to rent control.
Here are some pics from the reunion:

The show also featured dozens of cast members from James Burrows shows: FriendsWill & GraceCheersThe Big Bang Theory and more.

He talked about "40 years, 1,000 shows, 5,000 rehearsal days 10,000 rewrites, 500,000 networks notes and a million laughs, and I've had so much fun, but I could not have done this alone."
