Matty J: 'The Bachelor' VIDEOS

As 'The Bachelor' (and 'The Bachelorette' aficionados would be well aware, Sydney marketing director Matthew Johnson, aka Matty J, has been confirmed as the latest star of Network Ten dating show 'The Bachelor'.
The now 30 year old was a firm fan favourite on the most recent season of 'The Bachelorette', where he was 'runner-up' to 'winner' Lee Elliott in the battle to win the heart of Georgia Love.

So it's no surprise he was the hot pick to star in the fifth (yes!) season of the show – which will air later this year.

Matty admitted he was heartbroken and would “run to the bathroom and start crying” in the weeks following the rejection. Wow, just wow. I like that though... he's a SNAG (gosh it has been eons since we've used that word!).
But now:

“I feel so privileged that I’ve been given the opportunity to be The Bachelor,” he said in a statement.
“Without question, the most exciting part is the chance to meet the girl I’m going to spend the rest of my life with.”
What is Matty looking for? His ideal woman is “kind, intelligent, easy-going” and “shares his passion for the outdoors and the ocean”. And long walks on the beach. Nah, we can't make fun of Matty J. One, it's not our style. And two, he's so cute :)

Here is trailer one:

And trailer two:

'Bad Moms 2': TRAILER

It's here.

And it looks bloody good!

'Bad Moms 2' is coming to our screens this Christmas, and if you've watched 'Bad Moms' you'll love this.

The main characters are back - Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn - plus Christine Baranski, Cheryl Hines and Susan Sarandon. Oh, and that hottie Peter Gallagher who is now, gulp, 61 and frankly... looking hotter than ever.

Here is the very funny trailer - some parts NSFW:

'Bad Moms 2' - which is titled 'Bad Moms Christmas' in the US - follows on from the 2016 release of 'Bad Moms', a box office hit, spawning not only this, part two, which opens in the US on November 3, and in Australia on November 2, 2017, but an announced spin off titled ' Bad Dads' (yessss, bring it!).

THE line of the trailer:

“You are a mom,” says Christine Baranski, who plays Amy’s (Mila Kunis) mother. “Moms don’t enjoy, they give joy. That’s how being a mom works.”

UGH.

The PR blurb on 'Bad Moms 2':

Bad Moms 2 follows our three under-appreciated and over-burdened moms (Amy, Kiki, and Carla) as they rebel against the challenges and expectations of Christmas in hopes of creating a more perfect holiday for their families. And if that was hard enough, they have to do all of that while hosting and entertaining their ultimate holiday foes: their own mothers. By the end of the journey, our moms have redefined how to make the holidays special for their families and it ends up bringing them closer to their own moms.

BAD MOMS 2 was directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore and produced by Suzanne Todd, who previously partnered on the first “Bad Moms”. The film stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Christine Baranski, Cheryl Hines and Susan Sarandon.

'BAD MOMS 2' releases in Australian cinemas on November 2, 2017.

Darren Simpson Dies of Heart Attack

Darren Simpson, celebrated chef, has died.

According to an article in 'The Daily Telegraph', the father of two is believed to have suffered a heart attack on Thursday night after a recent attempt at rehabilitation in a clinic, then hospital near his Byron Bay home.

Continues the report:

"The restaurant and food industry friends of celebrity chef Darren Simpson have used social media to pay tribute to the former TV foodie who has died after a long battle with alcohol addiction-related illness."

Irish-born Darren was named UK’s Young Chef of the year at the age of 21, the youngest ever winner of the prestigious award, open to those under 25.

Darren trained in some of the most acclaimed restaurants in the world, including Le Gavrouche, the River Cafe, and Sir Terence Conran’s Sartoria in Savile Row.

Remember when Darren worked for Aqua Luna? He'd been headhunted in 1999, to become the head chef at the venue. He then opened the award-winning La Sala, a modern Italian restaurant, in Woollahra in 2005.

He went on to be a 'My Restaurant Rules' judge, and recently attracted media attention when he was appointed head chef of the upgraded The Avenue in June.

So sad. RIP Darren.

Katy Perry: Live Stream VIDEOS + James Corden Interview

Katy Perry is currently revealing herself all over the world wide web.

Or the 'Witness' World Wide to be exact. That's the name of her new album, y'all: 'Witness'.

See the intriguing full length clips below.

But first, in real time, her actual live stream:

Her lengthy live stream (my daughter showed me her YouTube live stream video of her at 3.25am US time, when she was fast asleep and suddenly I was intrigued... like the rest of the world). Her 'home' shows her life with her makeup artists, assistants, pets, chefs and a constant stream of celebrity guests.

Here are some highlights from the past 24 hours or so:

And, she's revealing even more in her interview with James Corden when he came to visit:

Here are her performances on the inside:

The whole fabulous album PR stunt is sponsored by Covergirl, who teamed up with Katy for their new campaign called #projectPDA. The campaign, which stands for Project Public Displays of Application, intends to challenge the stigma of applying makeup in public.

Katy Perry has a new image (and stylist?), new hair, and new album. Looks like 2017 is her kick ass year.

Turia Pitt: Pregnant - VIDEO

Turia Pitt has just revealed she is pregnant with her first child, with fiancé Michael Hoskin.

Here is how she announced it on Instagram, where she captioned the pic: All I wanted was a back rub... 🤰😂 (we are stoked - bring it on! ❤️❤️❤️)

And below, clip from '60 Minutes' Australia last night with her announcement...

A post shared by Turia (@turiapitt) on

Turia and Michael found out only days before they were meant to head off to Nepal to start the very full on 12-day trek to Mount Everest Base Camp.

Turia took a pregnancy test because she had been feeling unusually tired and told '60 Minutes' her first reaction to it was: "Fuck.", revealing it to Michael by leaving the test in the bathroom while he was brushing his teeth:

She said: "I had a mouthful of toothpaste. I couldn’t really say much but I knew what was going on and I was just – I was like wow I can’t believe it!"

Turia reveals she was reluctant to cancel the trek, because it was for the burn survivor charity Interplast, but said that she had to make decisions for two people now.

"I wanted to do the walk, and then I thought about it and you know it’s not just myself I have to think about and Everest Base Camp there’s high altitude, low oxygen, not much sanitation and if something happens to you it’s really hard to get to a medical facility."

Turia is known as a bloody legend for not only surviving her burns ordeal, but for the inspirational work she has done extensive with Interplast since she recovered from severe burns she gained during a 100km marathon in the Kimberley region, when she and other runners became trapped in a grass fire.

Added Michael, saying they're 'stoked':

"We’ve been through something pretty traumatic and I mean we’re past that now – and you forget how hard that was so I reckon this will be more fun."

Adds Turia: "It makes me stoked I’m still here. Not every woman in the world gets to experience this and I get to with my best friend, my partner."

The couple's baby is due in December 2017.

Yummy Mummies.

The very words conjure up images of sexy mothers, mothers who wear heels and get their hair and nails done, go to the gym, and look after themselves, but hell yes they are also smart, together, clever women who know how to cut a lunch, sign off on business deals, and.. well, dare we say it... the moniker implies they are MILFs.

Vivid at Taronga Zoo: Tickets + Info

You may have seen Vivid, this year, or last, or the year before that.

But have you seen Vivid at Taronga Zoo?

In a precinct that has "kiddie fun" written all over it, this collab at our fave Aussie zoo with our fave, and internationally renowned light show, Vivid, will be something to behold.

Called 'Lights for the Wild' it's an illuminated trail of giant animal lanterns lighting up Taronga Zoo, with Vivid as the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas.

Running for 23 nights from 26 May - 17 June, the Vivid Sydney / Taronga Zoo journey begins at the Zoo’s heritage-listed main entrance, brought to life with world-class dazzling projections. With your interactive wristband on, head through the gates and explore the illuminated trail that winds through the stunning grounds of Taronga Zoo.
For the first time, it will be a fully interactive and immersive event!
You can become part of the experience and interact with the light sculptures like never before with a state-of-the-art wristband that lets you become a light for the wild.
Alongside the festival favourites from last year’s Vivid Sydney at Taronga Zoo including the 10 legacy species lanterns, 'Lights for the Wild' 2017 will introduce us to a whole new cast of characters and surprises including a giant interactive Port Jackson Shark.

The giant multimedia light sculptures are here: meet the magnificent Sumatran Tiger, the vividly coloured Marine Turtle, a swarm of tiny buzzing bees and a giant interactive Gorillagram.
Created by Ample Projects, the collection of multimedia light sculptures is among the largest and most technologically advanced lanterns ever featured in Vivid Sydney.
“Each of these incredible installations and light sculptures tells a fascinating tale about conservation. People will have the opportunity to discover stories about these beautiful animals and learn how Taronga is working to help save 10 species from extinction over the next 10 years,” said Taronga’s Director, Cameron Kerr.

“Our aim through Vivid Taronga is to inspire guests to become as passionate for the wild as we are and take positive action for wildlife conservation.”

Here is preview:

After the animals have retired to their night quarters for the evening, the lights of Vivid Sydney at Taronga Zoo will take centre stage.

Vivid Sydney at Taronga Zoo is a ticketed precinct, with tickets on sale here: http://bit.ly/2p0CTpt
