Flipagram: How to create one - VIDEO and Apps

Have you seen people sharing a short clip they created with their photos called Flipagram?

It's the perfect, end of year retrospective posted mostly on Instagram, and you can choose any photos you want from Facebook, Instagram or your 'Camera Roll', to be included in your slideshow video.

As far as editing goes, you can sort your photos, adjust the timing of photo flips, select your fave music to go with it, then share it on all your other social networking profiles.
You can use Flipagram anytime of the year, of course, but 2013 photo round-ups seem to be the most obvious, popular ones right now.
Statigram also has an option for users to create similar slideshow videos, but it automatically chooses photos for your by looking at which of your Instagram pics generated the most interaction. Flipagram offers a lot more editing options and leaves you in control of how your videos turn out.
Download Flipagram - available for both Android and iPhone now.

Best News Bloopers 2013: VIDEO

News bloopers are the best kinda bloopers. All that seriousness in front of a camera can only lead to one thing... monumental cock-ups, which are utterly delicious to watch.

This reel from Live Leak takes the whole cake for 2013.

Superwog: VIDEOS and story

Have you seen the rising comedy phenomenon that is Superwog?

Boasting 44 million views on their YouTube channel, this episode below just screened on TV on Boxing Day on ABC2.

Brilliant.

The whole concept of wog comedy shows no signs of letting up... and why should it?

There are gazillions of wog descendents living amongst us - and YOU! - every single day.

YES, we are everywhere. Next door to you, in the next suburb, shopping right next to you... they spawn, people! The wogs you may have grown up now have kids of their own. And if those wogs married wogs, their offspring don't neccesarily dilute their wogness. Sometimes... they turn it up a notch. And become, well, Superwogs.

The generation that enjoyed 'Wogs Out Of Work', and 'Acropolis Now', and Joe Avati's comedy (still performing to sell-out crowds) are now also enjoying this new wave of wog comedy by the younger wog 'kids.'

The duo behind it are brothers Nathan and Theo Saidden (with an Egyptian/Greek background), and they started up these clips as a kind of hobby in 2008.

The home of superwog videos is here at http://www.superwog.com.au/ and more exclusive Superwog videos are at http://www.adultswim.com.au/

Patrick Swayze's Widow Lisa Niemi Engaged to Albert DePrisco

Patrick Swayze's widow, Lisa Niemi, is engaged to jeweller Albert DePrisco (pictured below):

Lisa's rep confirmed to Us Weekly that the actress and dancer is getting ready to tie the knot to Albert, 58, after he popped the question to Niemi, 57, on Christmas Eve.

The couple has been dating for over a year and first met through mutual friends.

Patrick - best known for his work in the films 'Dirty Dancing' and 'Ghost' - died at age 57 in September 2009 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. The late actor was diagnosed in January 2008 and had been undergoing chemotherapy at the time.

Patrick and Lisa got married in 1975 and had been married for 34 years. They met when Lisa took dance lesson's from Patrick's mother Patsy, who died in September at the age of 86.

Brad Pitt "My wife got sick" - Fake. Not by Brad Pitt

That post you've read about Brad Pitt changing his approach to how his loved his 'wife' Angelina Jolie... they are not Brad Pitt's words. At all. Not even close. Didn't come from his mouth. He did not say them. More on that below.

Here are the words attributed to Brad Pitt:

“My wife got sick. She was constantly nervous because of problems at work, personal life, her failures and problems with children.

She has lost 30 pounds and weighed about 90 pounds in her 35 years. She got very skinny, and was constantly crying. She was not a happy woman. She had suffered from continuing headaches, heart pain and jammed nerves in her back and ribs.

She did not sleep well, falling asleep only in the morning and got tired very quickly during the day. Our relationship was on the verge of break up.

Her beauty was leaving her somewhere, she had bags under her eyes, she was poking her head, and stopped taking care of herself. She refused to shoot the films and rejected any role.

I lost hope and thought that we’ll get divorced soon…But then I decided to act on it.
After all I’ve got the most beautiful woman on the earth.

She is the idol of more than half of men and women on earth, and I was the one allowed to fall asleep next to her and to hug her shoulders.

I began to pamper her with flowers, kisses and compliments. I surprised her and pleased her every minute. I gave her lots of gifts and lived just for her. I spoke in public only about her. I incorporated all themes in her direction. I praised her in front of her own and our mutual friends.

You won’t believe it, but she blossomed. She became even better than before. She gained weight, was no longer nervous and she loved me even more than ever. I had no clue that she CAN love that much. And then I realized one thing: The woman is the reflection of her man. If you love her to the point of madness, she will become it.“

- Brad Pitt

I read this a few months ago and my first thought was, oh, cute! Brad Pitt refers to Angelina as his wife and they are not married yet (they are engaged).

After I saw it again on my Facebook feed a few times yesterday, I thought... hmmm, I wonder if Brad actually said this. It seems a little too open and personal about Angelina. Such a high profile couple putting it out there like that? Don't think so.

It only takes a Google search to dispel it.

On popular urban myth debunking site 'Snopes' they put it to rest:

Origins: This essay on "A Secret of Love", written from the perspective of a man about his love for his wife, has been widely circulated via social media in the last few years and is typically attributed to actor Brad Pitt. But Pitt hasn't had a wife for several years now: his five-year marriage to actress Jennifer Aniston ended in 2005, and although he has subsequently been involved in a long-term relationship with actress Angelina Jolie (and the couple announced their engagement in April 2012), they have not yet officially married.

We don't yet know who the original author of this bit of romantic fluffery was, but this item was making the social media rounds long before Brad Pitt's name became attached to it, and a rep for the actor confirmed for us that he had nothing to do with it. A number of linguistic issues in the piece suggest that it was either written by someone who is not a native speaker of English or it was imperfectly translated into English from another language.

So there you have it.

This message was just posted on the 'Missing Person Nick Eade' Facebook page late on 28 December, 2013:

MESSAGE FROM TRISH:
This is such a hard time for us, without Nick at Christmas
Without Nick home at any time of the year
We miss him so much

My gut keeps telling me Nick is lost along the way
So he needs to know his wife, children, family and friends are here for him with open arms
We just want to let Nick know we love and miss him, and want him home safe
Even if he just calls someone to say he is ok

My thanks to the police and missing person unit for their continued efforts and to everyone on Facebook for spreading my messages and sharing Nick’s pictures.
Although I suspect he may not be as clean shaven as the photos I share, it is his tattoos that will stand out.

MESSAGE FROM TRISH:

My Daily Thanks and cry for help in my new world of trying to find and cope with my missing husband Nick Eade.
I am sad to say I have heard no news
My eyes hurt, from tears and I feel like a shell walking around empty, the pain and disbelief
Not just that it's days to xmas and our little Ruby still thinks Daddy is at work; when the phone rings she says"daddy",
But my husband - happy, relaxed, down to earth man has gone missing for nearly one month
Thank you again for the amazing support, for those who are printing and handing out, sticking up flyers throughout Australia
We just need to keep sharing and handing out flyers.
Looking out for Nick.

1990s music - VIDEOS. The best.

1990s music.

In my mind... it's the best.

For me, the year 1990 was the year I kinda found my freedom.

It was my first year of uni. I'd turned 18 in January, and it was the year of my first boyfriend (I was incredibly shy and turned down so many dates between age 15 and 18. Finally, I gave dating a go. Yeah, I liked it...)

The 1990s then meant I went out 'clubbing' like mad.

And so, these songs were the soundtrack to my late teens and throughout my 20s.

For me, 1990s music was Euro-dance allll the way.

Listen and reminisce.

Let's start with... Whigfield (with weird cat motifs and random sailors...?):

And Ace of Base:

And Black Box:

Rozalla:

A spot of Sash!

Haddaway:

Real McCoy:

DJ Bobo:

2 Unlimited:

Alexia:

Culture Beat:

Eiffel 65's 'Blue':

Dr Alban:

Corona:

Snap!

And then we had Bubblegum dance, in later 1990s, like the monster hit 'Barbie Girl':

And... I think I am done. For now.

Any you can add?

'This Is 40' - I LOVE this movie... so many quotable quotes, so many hilarious, close-to-the-bone scenes.

'Miserable Men' Instagram: PHOTOS

Bahaha!

I saw this on 'The Today Show' a few days ago and thought... genius!

It's the new Instagram account called 'Miserable Men.'

And it's be-yond fantastic!

Behold, some examples, below.

But first, do you shop with your man?

My short answer is... NO.

Not now, not ever.

Okay... maybe once.

Just married, I said, let's go shopping together! Just for groceries, it'll be fun! In my shopping nirvana which is the grocery heaven called 'Woolies', I checked out the specials, I planned meals in my head, I stopped to feel up the fruit... and I looked over and saw the new husband looking bored. And decidedly shitty.

Right there and then I made a decision - which I expressed out loud - I will never grocery shop with him again. And I never have. These days, I STILL think a solo grocery shop is the highlight of my week. No, really.

A year or so later I STILL must not have learned my lesson, and I STOOPIDLY thought hanging out at the post-Christmas sales would be a kind of bonding experience.

Again, bahaha. WHAT A JOKE.

He was almost dragged along and not surprisingly, haaated it!

Again, have NEVER done it again. I mean, what for?

My greatest indulgence is shopping solo... for anything. Trying on clothes, not being rushed, just looking, being indecisive, or deciding super-quick... it's MY business, my thing, my pleasure. Who wants to be rushed through anything?

Just today I braved the sales with my six year old twins. It went okay, but yes, at times I WAS that mother you look at a tad horrified at the shops as I tried to reign them in/scold them for opening the change room curtain/ask them to give me a few more minutes before we were really, truly, definitely leaving (yeah, THAT mother you swear you will never be 'When I Have Kids One Day.' Feel free to get back to me on that when you do...)

And so, here we are, some examples of some very miserable men.

Feel free to LOL and share:

For more 'Miserable Men' fabulousness, and to follow them on Insty, click here.

So, what's your shopping style? With partner (willingly or dragged?), or solo?

Most Googled in 2013: VIDEO

What did we Google most in 2013?

Google has produced a cool, rather moving video to show us, and remind us. If you're all for retrospect and nostalgia (as I am), you will love this.

Wanna see what YOUR city Googled the most?

Here's what went down (up?) most in Sydney.

What was YOUR top Google search?

If a report was run on my searches, I'd be thought of as a tad weird. But... it's my job!

Miley Cyrus 'Adore You': FULL video

If Miley Cyrus's video 'Wrecking Ball' was known as her 'nudie' video, this will be known as the 'Miley masturbating' video.

JUST in, the full video for her new song, 'Adore You'.

Thoughts?

One reader suggested this now-renowned video of Miley singing the Dolly Parton (her godmother!) classic 'Jolene' is far more natural, far sexier:

Rachel Zoe: Second Baby With Husband Rodger Berman

Rachel Zoe has just given birth to her second son with husband Rodger Berman.

"So excited to welcome our baby boy into the world...he's 7 lbs 12 oz, beautiful, healthy and we couldn't be happier," she shared with fans.

She made the announcement via Twitter on Sunday, December 22.

The 42-year-old fashion designer and Berman, who married in 1996, are already parents to son Skyler, 2.

The celebrity stylist confirmed the pregnancy news in a blog post in September. "We are beyond excited for Skyler to have a sibling and for us to fall in love all over again," she wrote. "We feel incredibly blessed."

At the 50 Most Fashionable Women of 2013 event in West Hollywood on October 24, Zoe told reporters she was having a fairly easy second pregnancy. "I'm feeling good," she said, but added, "I'm tired. Bed is early for me."

As for cravings, 'The Rachel Zoe Project' star revealed she hasn't craved anything.

"Isn't that weird? I want some, but no," she said. "[My husband has] been hoping in both pregnancies but nothing happens." And even though she looked amazing in a cut-out black dress, the expectant star said, "I'm eight months in here, so I'm not feeling that sexy!"

Kleenex: Mother's Amazon Review

Ah, those online customer product reviews. Always helpful, yes?

Like this one, on Kleenex Facial Tissues, White.

It's written by a mother of three sons.

There really are no other words… just read and guffaw:

GOLD, right!?

It kinda reminds me of this classic scene in 'Bridesmaids':

Brenda Schmitz's gift - two years after her death: VIDEO

This is the most emotional story you'll read on the internet today.

A radio station - STAR 102.5 - and their 'Christmas Wish' campaign led them to David Schmitz and his family, with the late Brenda Schmitz.

Brenda wrote a letter just before her death. She was a mother of four.

According to this blog on the Des Moines Register, Brenda had always been touched by the Christmas Wish program run by local Des Moines radio station KSTZ Star 102.5 each year.
About two weeks ago station brand manager Scott Allen received a letter in the mail.
"We've been doing the Christmas Wish program for 20-plus years. We've never received a wish like this, ever," he told the Register.
The letter was from Brenda, written two years earlier, a month before she died of ovarian cancer, leaving behind her husband David and four young sons.
It starts:
"Hello my name is Brenda Schmitz and when you are in receipt of this letter I will already have lost my battle to ovarian cancer."

What a gutting story.

Have you ever had THAT conversation with your partner about what would happen after you die, and if you have kids, what you would do when and if you find a new partner?
