Elan Gale Vs Diane: The Live-Tweeted, Mid-Air Thanksgiving Spat

Have you ever wanted to tell someone they were being rude to someone in the service industry, and to tone it down a bit?

This man did just that. And of course, he lived Tweeted it. And naturally… the whole exchange has gone viral.

It was a Thanksgiving flight in the US which turned into a war of words after two passengers on a delayed plane began trading insults.

Elan Gale and 'Diane' became embroiled in one of the bitchiest, most passive aggressive exchanges, and Elan even took some photos to illustrate his actions.
It culminated in… an actual, not virtual, slap on the face. Delivered by Diane to Elan when they landed. Wowsers.
It all began when Elan (who according to his Twitter description, is "producer of ABC's The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor Pad. director of Looking for Lenny. very indoors") was waiting to fly from New York to Los Angeles when the delay occurred.
After hearing her complain, and after take-off, he sent this to 'Diane':
She sent this back:

Read all Elan's Tweets here.

UPDATED:

That whole saga?

FAKE!

Here is a photo of 'Diane', as posted by Elan today, with the caption:

Here is Diana sitting in a chair

Whoops. Meant Diane. Great time for a typo

Cheeky shit made the whole thing up.

I conclude by saying hopefully a few people got a few laughs over a slow Thanksgiving weekend

Elan Gale gained 170,000 followers after the Tweets. Of course.

Vaginal Knitting: VIDEO - 'The Feed' SBS 2

Knitting. With your vagina.

There's not much else I can say after that… except… watch the clip:

This video is from the SBS show 'The Feed' (awesome show on SBS2 - you must watch it), and you can subscribe to all their videos here.

The description from the vid:

"Art takes many forms, from detailed oil painting to a vagina carved out of soap. But just a warning for the squeamish or the easily offended, this is a period piece and it has some strong themes and ideas that some people may find confronting."

The video is produced by Miles Bence.

The Feed airs weeknights at 7.30pm on SBS 2. You can also follow them on Twitter at @TheFeedSBS2 or click here, follow them here on their website,  and 'Like' them on Facebook here to stay in the loop.

And now, the vaginal knitter - Casey Jenkins - responds...

"Over the past two weeks, over 3.5m people have watched the YouTube clip shot by SBS2 documenting my 28 day performance piece, Casting Off My Womb, at Darwin’s DVAA. The short clip, which SBS2 titled Vaginal Knitting, gives an overview of the work in which I used skeins of wool lodged in my vaginal tunnel to knit a long passage, marking one full menstrual cycle.
My image and work have been consumed, contemplated and commented on by millions across the globe. It’s interesting then, and gives an insight into the performance’s heart, that all of this electronic crackle and buzz has not altered my identification with it at all. My image and imagery of my work has zipped through minds from Nigeria to Taiwan to Finland yet, in many ways, the personal impact has been less than the dreams of a few friends that I felt marked me more firmly into existence.
The response to the clip was immediate, massive and, for the most part, negative, marked with fear and repulsion. The word "ick" features heavily, as do "eww", "gross" and "whyyyy?". Exclamation points are afforded entire comment boxes, broken only by the odd question mark. Everything comes in for criticism; the menstrual blood used in the work probably cops the most, but viewers have taken swipes at my hair-cut, my eyebrows, my skin, my home-city, my choice of words, my knitting technique and the colour of my shirt. The nature of the response wasn’t unexpected, but the scale of it was and it’s been fascinating to watch."

'How To Fight A Baby': YouTube Viral Clip

Published just three days ago, this video has amassed over four million views on YouTube.

Uploaded by Gavin McInnes (the co-founder of Vice magazine) you can imagine why it's deemed controversial. I find it funny (and he appears to be substantially protecting the head when he goes the throw-down), until the pretend choking bit... juuust crossing that line a tad?

Gavin says in the YouTube clip description:

"I could fight a baby all day. Know why? Because I know their weakness: WIND."

The 49 year old comedienne and author and her husband George Betsis welcomed their long-awaited baby girl on Monday, naming her Jamie Betsis.

Reports Woman's Day magazine, who has followed her pregnancy journey: baby Jamie is said to be very cute and her proud parents clearly couldn’t be happier.

“We’re so very happy to announce the arrival of our much anticipated baby girl,” the excited pair told Woman’s Day via a representative.

“Baby and mother are in exceptional health, father still doing cartwheels.”

“Thank you for all your messages of support and love throughout this journey.”

Despite the incredible heartbreak and loss, Mary has always allowed her strong will to be a mother to shine over her heartbreak.

“I didn’t feel it was fair to end the story there for us,” she told Woman’s Day earlier this month.

Look who is back...

JUST announced... Jonah Takalua is back on our TVs in 2014.

The 'Summer Heights High' fave is back in his own show, it was just announced tonight at the ABC 2014 program launch.

Titled 'Jonah From Tonga'the cheeky bugger with Polynesian heritage - who loves drawing penises and muttering "Puck you, Miss/Sir" to his long-suffering teachers - will be back taunting and generally being a big turd at school.

Are you happy Chris Lilley's Jonah character is being reprised? Following all the industry whispers, did you expect this character to come back with his own series?

To follow the official Jonah Facebook page, click here

UPDATED: more info on the show from ABC TV:

The just-received press release says:

"Jonah’s back and ready to puck with viewers in 2014

After months of speculation, ABC TV has tonight confirmed that Jonah Takalua is set to return to screens in his very own show in 2014. The announcement came after a week where viewers were presented with a series of trailers, on ABC’s iview platform, each featuring former Chris Lilley characters all hinting at their potential return to the small screen.

The last time we saw the 14-year old school boy he was expelled from the concrete playgrounds of Summer Heights High with his father, Rocky Takalua, sending him back to his homeland of Tonga to live with his uncle and their family to help get Jonah’s life back on track.

The new series, produced by  Princess Pictures and Chris Lilley in conjunction with ABC TV, sees Jonah in the midst of island life and experiencing the familiar frustrations of a bored teenage delinquent. But whether he’s in Tonga or Sydney, school life is still not cool for Jonah and his Poly-posse, who continue to spread his trademark swearing, telling of tall tales and signature ‘Dicktation’ tagging all over school grounds."

The six-part series, will also air on BBC3 in the UK, and will air on ABC1 in early 2014.

Here is a mini best of the very cheeky, rude-as Jonah:

American Music Awards 2013: Red Carpet

Red carpet fashion for a music awards show - best.

Here is the just-in offering from the American Music Awards for 2013. (All photos from Splash News):

Miley Cyrus just turned 21 (on Saturday), and was front and centre at the red carpet of the American Music Awards in Los Angeles, donning a sophisticated white blazer and pants.

Also at the event was pop's Katy Perry, wearing a floor-length polka dot and floral gown, while singer Jordin Sparks turmed to the halter. Always a winner.

Most photogenic goes to: the Jenner sisters, Kendall and Kylie, who looked fantastic in outfits dripping in jewels, and a newly blunt fringe.

Miss the most-talked about performances? You can catch them here.

American Music Awards 2013: Miley Cyrus and Cat. Katy Perry and Geisha.

As usual, any awards show is about the red carpet fashion, and the 2013 American Music Awards is no exception.

    Jessica Mauboy: Nescafé Acoustic Sessions

To hear Jessica Mauboy sing live, in an acoustic session is… something else.

I had the privilege of seeing Jessica perform her repertoire of songs - with some classic beauties thrown in like Cyndi Lauper's 'Time After Time' which reduced me to tears - at The Vanguard in Newtown, Sydney.

The event was set up to thank and reward loyal coffee drinkers in the global 75th anniversary year for the Nescafé brand, hosting 100 competition winners at an exclusive, money can’t buy acoustic session with multi-award winning singer.

This was the fourth Nescafé acoustic session to take place following recent performances in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne, with the final Nescafé acoustic session in Brisbane.

You guys, this young woman is an exceptional talent. But you probably already know that.

Her new album 'Beautiful' is utterly fantastic, each track better than the next. (You can win that album here). Her latest tracks 'Beautiful', 'Pop A Bottle (Fill Me Up)', and 'To The End of The Earth' are worth repeat listens, and every single track is killer, not filler. 'Kick Up Your Heels', and 'Kiss Me Hello' are two stellar examples.

Here are some photos from the fab, intimate sesh. The best part? About from the obv - hearing that soulful, smooth-as voice with little frills and stripped back to its bare bones - is listening to the fun banter from young Miss Mauboy. She is one cheeky fun woman and we are very lucky to call her our own. Watch her star soar and soar...

Jessica is touring around the country. For 2013 and early 2014 dates, click here.

This just in: the 'Muppets: Most Wanted' official trailer, featuring Ricky Gervais and Tina Fey:

    Says the YouTube blurb:

"Following on from 2011's smash-hit The Muppets, all your favorite characters are back in an hilarious all-new spy thriller adventure in Disney's MUPPETS: MOST WANTED, hitting cinemas March 2014. Packed with celebrity cameos and featuring star turns from Ricky Gervais, Tiny Fey and Ty Burrell, MUPPETS: MOST WANTED takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, including stops in Berlin, Madrid, Dublin and London. But mayhem follows them overseas as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine, the World's Number One Criminal, and dead-ringer for Kermit.

Disney's "Muppets Most Wanted" is directed by James Bobin and produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman. Bobin co-wrote the screenplay with Nicholas Stoller, who is also executive producer with John G. Scotti. 'Nymphomaniac' - Official Trailer - Uncensored

This very 'not safe for work' (NSFW) movie trailer was what I woke up to this morning... it sent me upright and got me alert just like that.

Showing a blink and you'll miss it vagina close-up in the first few seconds, the director of this controversial, highly anticipated, full-on psycho-sexual thriller 'Nymphomaniac' Lars Von Trier is of course renowned for pushing the boundaries (his Bjork-starring film 'Dancer In The Dark' is one of my all-time fave twisted Von Trier offerings).

Watch the 'Nymphomaniac' trailer before it gets pulled down from YouTube:

The trailer complements the movie posters released last month, featuring the stars in various states of orgasm:

Set to release on December 25 in Von Trier's native Denmark, according to this site, the film will be released in Australia in 2013, also. Stay tuned.

Kerri-Anne Kennerley: 'Behind Mansion Walls' - Foxtel

Iconic Australian media personality Kerri-Anne Kennerley is back. She's kinda breathtaking:

    Photo: Nick Wilson

'KAK' makes her much-anticipated return to television as the host of 'Behind Mansion Walls' on Foxtel’s Crime & Investigation Network, premiering on Wednesday, December 11 at 7.30pm.

The engaging 13 x 60 minute series explores the mysterious real life cases of greed, betrayal and murder lurking within the walls of some of the world’s wealthiest homes.

Throughout the series, Kerri-Anne will lead viewers through stories of murder and mystery on a grand scale, where the victims and suspects include oil tycoons, real estate moguls and heirs to family fortunes.

From millionaires who have paid blood money to eradicate their enemies, to spoilt rich kids who have murdered family members for cash, to family dynasties that have imploded, Behind Mansion Walls shares the fascinating stories of crimes that have unfolded behind the veil of wealth.

In episode one, Kerri-Anne introduces viewers to the Skakel and Bierenbaum cases.

When 15 year old Martha Moxley was found beaten to death in her own backyard in the exclusive enclave of Belle Haven, Connecticut, on Halloween Eve 1975, the residents were shocked. The police focused their attention on the Moxley’s neighbours, Tommy and Michael Skakel, who were part of one of the most powerful families on the East Coast – and cousins to the Kennedy family.

High-flying plastic surgeon Dr Robert Bierenbaum and his wife Gail lived the glamorous life in their Upper East Side apartment in Manhattan. But in the summer of 1985, Bierenbaum reported his wife missing. He told police she’d gone to Central Park for the afternoon. This Manhattan mystery would take fifteen years to solve.

And in an Australian case, in episode three, Kerri-Anne presents the case of the disappearance of Sydneysider Kerry Whelan. Remember it?

The wife of a multi-millionaire company executive, Whelan disappeared on her way to a beauty appointment in Sydney in May 1997. The case sparked Australia's greatest police manhunt. As hopes for Kerry began to fade, a surprising suspect emerged. Bruce Burrell was a respectable advertising executive with a bunch of well-to-do friends, including the Whelans.

'Behind Mansion Walls' is produced by Beyond Productions and is exclusive to Crime & Investigation Network.

'Behind Mansion Walls' starts Wednesday, December 11 at 7.30pm EDT on CI Network.
