Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker: Friends No More

In news set to devastate 'Sex And The City' fans... Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall ARE NOT FRIENDS.

There have been hints and rumours and kinda quasi semi confirmations, but now... there is nothing left to guess. It's over. And it looks like it has been for a long time.

(For the record, Josie's Juice is a massive fan of both stars, and of SATC - we estimate we've watched every single ep at least 50 times. Yes, every episode. FIFTY TIMES. Our SJP obsession goes back years, and Kim Cattrall... well, we meet her a few years ago in Australia and the girl crush recached fever pitch. Okay, that's out the way now).

Sadly, Kim Cattrall's brother died a few days ago.

SJP publicly gave her condolences on Kim's social media. Kim had had enough and posted:

The caption really is something else.

Only a week or so again, SJP appeared with Andy Cohen on 'Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen' show and here's what happened:

SJP revealed that she was “just heartbroken” after hearing Cattrall’s comments to Piers Morgan that Parker could have been “nicer” when speaking about her of late and and that she and the cast of SATC have “never been friends.”

“That whole week…I found it really upsetting,” Parker said. “That’s not the way I recall our experience. So, it’s sad, but…I always think that what ties us together is this singular experience. It was a professional experience, but it became personal because it was years and years of our lives. I’m hoping that that sort of eclipses anything that’s been recently spoken. That many years spent doing something so special that people had a connection with is such a privilege.”

Here is the Kim interview:

Here is more on SJP in 2016:

Both Cattrall and Parker have joked about replacing Cattrall with people like Ellen Degeneres...
...and Andy Cohen later auditioned for the role, while also suggesting that Sharon Stone might be a good candidate, something that Parker gamely entertained, telling him that he wasn’t the first to suggest it to her.
SO! Would the SATC franchise kill Cattrall’s character? Then make a third movie? Says Parker:
“I think once everybody has thoroughly experienced the grieving process, then Michael Patrick [King] can go back and ponder what he might want to do and how he might want to proceed,” she said. “That’s the most clear answer I’ve given yet.”
As for the 'Mean Girls' culture that allegedly existed on the set of SATC? Well, you can read the piece HERE.
