Iggy Azalea: 'The X Factor Australia' Judge

In celeb news, Iggy Azalea is confirmed as the new judge and mentor on The X Factor Australia, effectively taking Dannii Minogue's chair, effective from this year's new batch of shows.

At the end of last year, Dannii did indeed announce she was not returning to the show. Breaking the news on Twitter in February, Dannii announced that she has 'new exciting projects' in the works for the year ahead.

Guy Sebastian, Chris Isaak, and at this point, due to return to the show. James Blunt has not confirmed if he will be returning - he came on board last year as a high profile addition to the show.

And now, Iggy Azalea, who famously hails from Mullumbimby, in northern NSW, will be joining the successful show. The 26 year old Aussie rapper, who is now based in Los Angeles, confirmed the news with Australian media after a live performance on 'Good Morning America':

Muhammad Ali Dead at 74

News just in:

Muhammad Ali has died, at age 74.

He died in a US, Phoenix-area hospital where he was battling respiratory issues.

The legendary boxer and humanitarian had checked into the hospital on Thursday, and reps said he was in fair condition, but on Friday his health worsened.

Ali will be remembered as: one of the most recognised boxing figures globally, after winning boxing's heavyweight title three different times, the first of which came in a knock out with Sonny Liston in 1964.

He was famous for his boxing matches - the "Rumble in the Jungle", the "Thrilla in Manila", and for his forthright quotes: "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee."

Here is one of his most famous interviews:

He was born Cassius Clay but changed his name and converted to Islam in 1964. He also famously refused to enter the Vietnam War in 1967 as a conscientious objector.

He was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 1984, and remained very active at international events in and out of the sporting world. When he lit the Olympic flame at the 1996 Atlanta games, it was and is still considered one of the most iconic images in Olympic history:

Ali is survived by his wife Yolanda Williams and nine children: seven daughters, and two sons, including Laila Ali, who became an undefeated boxing champ herself.

When he retired in 1981, Ali had 56 wins, five losses and 37 knockouts. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990.

Prince: Cause of Death Revealed

The cause of death for Prince has been revealed.

Says E!:


Prince died from an opioid overdose, a source told the Associated Press (via the BBC).

The legendary singer died on April 21, and more than a month later tests reveal he passed away from a drug overdose. At the beginning of May, the investigation into Prince's death took a turn when the U.S. Attorney's office and Drug Enforcement Administration joined the efforts.

"The U.S. Attorney's Office and DEA are joining the Carver County Sheriff's investigation," a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's office told E! News.

"The DEA and U.S. Attorney's Office are able to augment this local investigation with federal resources and expertise about prescription drug diversion. While this remains an ongoing investigation, we will have no further comment."

The two agencies' involvement in the investigation came shortly after the Minneapolis Star Tribune published a report that said the "Purple Rain" crooner was supposed to meet with a California doctor who specializes in addiction. Prince was allegedly suffering from an addiction to pain killers and had representatives reach out to Dr. Howard Kornfeld, a national authority on opioid addiction treatment, because Prince was "dealing with a grave medical emergency," said William Mauzy, an attorney working with the Kornfeld family.

'Rob & Chyna': TV Show + Baby Special

What? What's this? A new E! show about a Kardashian family member? WE DID NOT SEE THIS COMING!

E! is excited to announce the new six-episode docu-series Rob & Chyna (working title), which will follow the whirlwind romance of Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna. Each one-hour episode will follow the lovebirds from their engagement to Chyna's pregnancy, and everything in between.

The exciting television event will culminate with a separate special at a later time celebrating the birth of their first child together (AKA the newest Kardashian!).

Rob & Chyna, which is produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions and Bunim/Murray Productions, premieres on E! later this year. Rob and Chyna will serve as co-executive producers on the show.

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris Split

Yup.

The Tay Tay / Calvin Harris meal combo is no longer on the menu. No more fries with that.

Says E! News, in a report just in:

E! News has confirmed through multiple sources that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris (real name Adam Wiles) have broken up after dating for almost a year and a half. "This all happened last week," a source tells us.

"Taylor and Adam had no big blowout fight, but the romance just was not there anymore for them. Adam is the one that ended it. It was all done in a very mature fashion. Taylor is pretty upset but they are still in communication. Taylor was there for Adam with his accident and supportive."

The duo's breakup comes shortly after the music producer suffered from a car accident, causing him to cancel a few shows. "Adam is still recovering from the injuries sustained in the car accident last Friday. Unfortunately, as a result he will not be able to perform in Las Vegas at Hakkasan tonight, 5/26 and Omnia tomorrow, 5/27," his team explained last week.
