'Celebrity Gogglebox Australia': Zoë Foster Blake and Hamish Blake

For the first time on Australian television, the highly anticipated star studded line-up of the 'Celebrity Gogglebox Australia' special episode premieres on FOXTEL, Wednesday March 2 at 7.30pm preceding the return of the fifteenth season of Gogglebox Australia from March 9- Wednesdays at 7.30pm- watch on LifeStyle and On Demand.

The show will invite viewers into the loungerooms of our most famous celebrities, as they step away from their known habitats: panel desks, radio mics, stages, stoves, and television hosting duties. Get comfy on the couch with the celebrities as they become our first famous armchair critics on Celebrity Gogglebox Australia.

Foxtel today announced the first celebrities to take their position on the couch are Hamish Blake and Zoë Foster Blake, one of Australia’s most-loved couples. Best known for his success across both radio and television, Hamish started out in radio with comedy partner Andy Lee, and is currently heard weekly on LiSTNR with their self-titled, #1 rated podcast. On television, Hamish’s talent spans hosting, producing, and creating, as he entertains national audiences with top rating and award-winning shows including LEGO Masters Australia.

Zoë is the creator of  clean, cruelty-free Australian skin care line, Go-To and is recognised as an author of twelve books, including the best-selling beauty bible, ‘Amazinger Face’, children’s title ‘No One Likes A Fart’ and  novel ‘The Wrong Girl’, which became an acclaimed TV series.

Hamish Blake said: “We’ve trained every night for this over the last ten years, we’ve got this.”

To be announced soon, the line-up joining Hamish & Zoë on Celebrity Gogglebox include Australia’s most celebrated television hosts, comedians, radio presenters and performers. Viewers will discover what shows make our celebrities laugh, debate, and scream at their television screens and the question everyone is asking - will they be watching themselves?

Brian Walsh, Executive Director of Television – FOXTEL Group, said: “We waited until the time was right to commission Celebrity Gogglebox. FOXTEL has always held the view that if we were able to take one of our most successful shows and modify it and lift it with a celebrity version, we had to deliver the strongest line up of Australian celebrities. We believe we have delivered just that, for what will undoubtedly be the one of the highlights of Australian television in 2022.

FOXTEL is incredibly excited about our ensemble cast covering all fields of endeavor- television, sport, comedy, and lifestyle. Clearly if our first Celebrity Gogglebox resonates with our FOXTEL subscribers, our ambition would be to make it a regular fixture on the Gogglebox calendar.”

David McDonald, Endemol Shine Australia Head of Comedy said, “We’re beyond excited at the calibre of the celebrity Goggleboxers set to pull up a couch with us! We can’t wait to reveal the full line-up.”

Celebrity Gogglebox Australia is an Endemol Shine Australia production for FOXTEL and Network 10- which will air Celebrity Gogglebox Australia the following day after FOXTEL’s broadcast (Wednesday March 2 at 7.30pm), Thursday at 8.30pm on March 3.

'Sex/Life' - Adam Demos shower scene

Episode 3.

At 20 minute mark.

Thoughts? 😬

The WHOLE show 'Sex/Life' on Netflix is now something a zeitgeist moment in pop culture - and suddenly errrryone is talking about it 🤷‍♀️

The show dropped on Netflix on June 25, and it sat largely unwatched on my own Netflix menu because... school holidays and a shared, centrally located TV!

But the calls were getting louder to watch it immediately, if not sooner... I'm sure you can relate - unless your were one of the early adopters and binged the eight episode TV show in a day (there's only season one right now, with no word on season two yet).

So I succumbed. And whoa.

The scenes in the lead up to THAT shower scene everyone is talking about are explicit enough, and it has you asking: is this soft core porn dressed up as drama?

Or is it a modern presentation of one of life's quandaries... is the grass greener on the other side of your own patch... you know, that proverbial white picket fence?

Comments on social media often provide a real indicator to where the psyche of the general cult TV viewership is at, and this show has seen some polarising thoughts... here are some of note:

In response to this post from Netflix:

A woman’s daring sexual past collides with her married-with-kids present when the bad-boy ex she can’t stop fantasising about crashes back into her life. The world’s steamy new obsession, SEX/LIFE, is now streaming on Netflix.

A cross section of comments included:

Abby Barton

So another series where the wife cheats on her husband, because you know all housewives are dreaming of a better life. Why is it always housewives? I just get tired of the infidelity. I wanted something different from this show.

Alison Evans
Team Brad. Not sorry, in the end husband cheated in front of her face, invaded her diary and had the gall to lecture her about going out and not answering her phone wen HE stayed out ALL night at another woman's house. I was all for the husband to begin with, then He turned out to an insecure ass. She never crossed that line. He did.

Francesca Castellani
Is there someone else really pissed off with her?? I truly am!

Alviera Osmand
Going into the second episode and already seen her naked more than I wanted to, sorry to say it should be classified as softporn series Netflix 😆 Watch only when no one is around, you've been warned 😅 Hot actors though

AND:

Ayanna James
I screamed out hard wen brad was showerin & he turn...cooper saw wat his wife was gettin, brad big dick...

James Radymski
No wonder people can’t settle down and stay faithful in a relationship 🙄 it’s because they are bombarded with films like this to make it seem normal 🙄

Ana Beatriz Travesso

I just really wish the show was faithful to the book. It would have been much better

So, where do you sit? What are your thoughts on Billie's life dilemma (Billie is the catalyst in this story, she of beautiful looks, with a beautiful husband, and two cute kids - she's played by the gorgeous Sarah Shahi) - is the grass greener, and should you sacrifice a stable marriage to seek excitement outside of it? And with an old flame? Who broke your heart? The short answer to that should be no. But for Billie...

Now... about that shower scene.

In a Daily Mail article, the headline asks:

“Sex/Life fans notice a huge editing fail in Adam Demos' full-frontal shower scene (so is everything we can see REAL?)”

It continues to talk about the the show sending the internet alight thanks to its full-frontal shower scene featuring (Australian!) actor Adam Demos and “eyebrows have been raised with the steamy scenes, with one in particular shocking viewers as Adam, who plays Brad in the show, stripping completely naked.”

While fans were initially mesmerised by, well, Adam's private parts, a second look at the footage has apparently exposed an editing fail.

The article continues by gathering some, er, hard hitting evidence that during the X-rated shower scene, which airs in episode three (and is at the 20 minute mark because I see you!) Adam's character is seen washing himself with his tattoo-free body on display.

However, a continuity error is revealed in episode four, during a throwback scene of Brad getting a tattoo on the upper right-hand portion of his crotch.

The tattoo of two bees was a romantic tribute to Brad's then-girlfriend Billie, and played a pivotal role in the continuation of Billie and Brad's love story.

In a scene set eight years later, Brad declared his undying love for Billie during a FaceTime chat while revealing he kept the tattoo as a reminder of their relationship.

EEK! So, perhaps the peen was a prosthetic? Like Nicole Kidman's nose in 'The Hours'?

You decide...

Set in New York and inspired by BB Easton’s 2016 book '44 Chapters About 4 Men', the explicit series is the absolute BUZZ of TV pop culture right now.

That, and the fact that Adam and Sarah are a REAL life couple - even making it Insta official in December 2020!

Facts about Adam Demos: he is an Australian actor born May 24, 1986.

Before Sex/Life he was best known for his role as Jake Taylor on the Netflix film 'Falling Inn Love', August Walker on the American television series 'Unreal', and as Nate Baldwin on Australian television series 'Janet King'. (We bet you will be rewatching or searching for ALL of these right about now...).

The 35 year old is a 'Gong' boy - he was born in Wollongong, NSW, Australia!

Sex'LIfe is streaming now on Netflix globally.

Brooke Blurton: first ever Indigenous, bisexual 'Bachelorette'

Brooke Blurton has just been announced as the first ever mixed gender 'bachelorette' on TV show: 'The Bachelorette' Australia.

The West Australian is a Carnarvon-born Yamatji-Noongar woman, and has been cast as the first openly bisexual star on the popular reality TV show.

So yes, that means Blurton will have both men and women competing for her love and affection,  signalling the first time The Bachelor or men has had a mixed gender cast.

'The Bachelorette' show host Osher Günsberg said in a statement that the upcoming season highlights the diversity and common interests of Australia.

"We are a nation of people from so many different backgrounds, so many different cultures and so many different experiences, yet we all have one thing in common – we all want to be loved in a way that is meaningful to us," he said.

Brooke herself said: “Times are more progressive and sexuality and gender expression are just so fluid these days,” she told News Corp Australia.

Brooke burst onto the scene in Nick Cummins’ season (yep, The Honey Badger... he who did not pick ANYONE at the end of his show tenure, much to the dismay of, well, most of Australia) of 'The Bachelor' Australia, then left the mansion on her own terms towards the end of the show.

Brooke had indeed let Nick know she had previously been in two relationships with women.

Brooke also appeared on 'Bachelor in Paradise'.

Equally exciting for the show is that Brooke is of Aboriginal background - finally! More beautiful Indigenous women on our screens. Much more of this please TV programmers!

Says Brooke, a youth worker: "I've done it twice before and now, having the opportunity to choose my person and who I want in my life, is a truly unique and special experience," she said.

"I'm so excited and hope that I finally find that person I've been waiting for."

Bring it on!

No screen date set yet, as the show will go into production shortly.

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is screening in Australia this week, after the filming of the epic annual lingerie fashion parade happened last week in Shanghai.

Here are the details:

Channel Nine has previously aired the 2016 and 2015 shows, only days after it screened US TV screens.

This year, CBS will be airing the show in the US on November 28 at 10pm Eastern Time - so Australia is getting it only a day later.

The taping of the show happened on November 20.

Beautiful models grace the catwalk, and the musical line up is always highly anticipated also. This year: Harry Styles, Miguel, Jane Zhang, Leslie Odom Jr, and Yundi Li.

Here are some clips to whet your appetite, and some pics below:

Netflix Offline Viewing aka 'Travel Lifesaver'

Oh hey parents! Have you been on one of those things called a 'holiday'? Or as I like to call it, taking your life to another spot, with less stuff and without those little luxuries and 'assets' which keep you sane...

You KNOW what I am talking about, folks...

And if you're going to be a Miss Judgey McJudgey Pants, well... keep reading!

Because if you're yet to discover the art of the pre travel download, listen up: this advice is life changing.

Enter Netflix!

My whole fam has a device, some more than one (leave that judgement at the door.... la la la la la la la... not listening!) and before we go away we load up on the good stuff, i.e., smash that home wifi by downloading alllll the shows we love, which is perfect for car travel, and proved to be fantastic during our mini break at a cabin at Shelly Beach, where there was no wifi to speak of (well, the signal was so weak it may as well have been non existent).

Add some noise cancelling headphones so you don't have to listen to anyone else's show (like the ones the generous folks from Netflix Australia/New Zealand Josie's Juice as a proud 'Steamteam Blogger' member - see below), some snacks (I am actually, legit called the snack queen when I go away with my friends), and you are in zone out heaven.

Think about it: long drive, all those "Are we there yet?" questions, NO Wifi, NO 'personal hotspot' to speak of, and... AH, look at that: your little ones' (and big ones') iPad are loaded up with all their fave 'Netflix Originals' shows, classic movies, and so much more. Everyone is quiet, everyone is happy.

Now, we don't advocate no family chatter at all when you all go away. But sometimes, sanity prevails when that time out from each other is needed, and you want to zone out in front of a screen. We've ALL done it, and it's kinda what makes you actually FEEL like you're on holidays.

For my daughter, it's all about 'Haters Back Off' and revisiting 'Total Drama Island', and movies like 'The Cat In The Hat'.

For my son, he likes to revisit the classics: 'Thomas And Friends' is still his fave, and his choices are almost endless via the kiddie movie selection.

Follow the conversation and see what all the other Netflix Streamteam Bloggers are up to and their viewing choices. See #StreamTeamANZ - and see the handy guide below!

SO!

Make downloading Netflix part of your packing process prior to travel.

Sophie Monk: INTERVIEW 'The Bachelorette' Trailer

Oh, Sophie Monk. How did you manage to make Josie's Juice shed a tear?

Sophie has appeared in her first full length TV ad for 'The Bachelorette', speaking about her dating past, why she's found it so difficult to find the right man, why she has attracted "the wrong guys", and what she wants: "a good man", and "a good father", and "just someone that loves me". She becomes emotional, and dammit, this now means we are even more hooked before the show has even begun. We thought it might be scripted madness, but nope. It's legit, you guys. We may just love Sophie even more now...

“Living in LA for 10 years, I’ve dated actors and rock stars. I think they’ve fallen in love with my image, not with me," says Sophie in the clip.
“Because I’ve played roles that are quite sexy and promiscuous, people think I’m like that. That’s probably why I attract the wrong guys too,” she added.
Sophie's ex-boyfriends have included an engagement to Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden (he went on to marry actress Cameron Diaz), as well as Jason Statham, Ryan Seacrest, Kevin Connolly and Sam Worthington.
“I am so awkward, the worst flirt you’ve ever met, I get really nervous and it’s just embarrassing when I’m on a date,” she adds. “I’m so lucky to do what I do, but the one thing you do sacrifice is a really healthy, good relationship - that’s one thing I regret.

'Step Brothers' 2: Will Ferrell VIDEO

What is even happening! 'Step Brothers' is getting a sequel?

Well, this is sorta kinda maybe definitely what Will Ferrell said. Watch:

Here is a reminder of the awesomeness of 'Step Brothers'. I'm sorry, but if you don't find this movie funny, we can't be friends. Kidding. (Not really).
