Pierre Haddad Death: Celebrity Hairdresser Passes Away

Pierre Haddad, celebrity hairstylist to high profile people including Sydney Fashion Blogger, has died.

According to social media posts, he died in his sleep of a heart attack.

Only last week he posted on social media that it was his "First day outside the house for 3 days."

He leaves behind his wife Carol and two young sons, Jacob and James.

His wife lost two brothers last year in the fiery car crash in Sydney's CBD, at Harbour and Pier Streets, beside the Novotel Rockford Hotel.

The $200,000 Nissan GT-R R35 'supercar' crashed and burst into flames in Sydney’s CBD killing three people, two of which were Wiley Park brothers Steve and Jeff Nasr, Carol's brothers.

Pierre had, at the time, the heartbreaking task of organising their funerals.

In this article, he pleaded with everyone out on the road to be extra safe.

“I would say think of your family. Think of how much you would hurt your family and what could happen,” he said.

“It is such a dangerous life out there. And it’s a terrible way to hurt somebody, yourself or others.

“Definitely safe driving is the highest recommendation.

“As a general message to everybody speeding is stupid and it is selfish and it hurts so many people.”

Pierre also added that the family was struggling to accept the horrible tragedy.

“It’s just been a massive shock,” Pierre said at the time.

“I’ve been concentrating on making sure my wife Carol and my mother-in-law are OK," Pierre said, adding that his mother in law had lost her husband not long ago.

Pierre Haddad was an award winning hairdresser, beginning his career in the hair industry in 1990, and described himself on social media as 'CVO' (chief visionary officer) of his company and brand.

It was in 2001 when Pierre founded his salon Pierre Haddad Hair Management in the Sydney CBD.

Pierre was the first hairdresser in Australia to bring Thermal Reconditioning into the country, directly from Japan. Pierre also introduced Guava Latino to Australia.

Pierre was also renowned for bringing the latest trends in hair extensions, exclusively importing his own hair for extensions from regions all around the world including Russia, India, Brazil, Spain and Peru, using the Copper Bells application method.

Here is Pierre in action, and below some celeb client pics.

Rest in peace, Pierre.

Louise Hay Dies, Age 90

Louise Hay, the inspirational author, has died age 90.

Louise's publisher Hay House wrote:

Our beloved friend and founder Louise Hay transitioned this morning, August 30, 2017 of natural causes at age 90. She passed peacefully in her sleep.

Louise was an incredible visionary and advocate. Everyone who had the privilege to meet her, either in person or through her words, felt her passion for serving others.

Considered a founder of the self-help movement, Louise was dubbed “the closest thing to a living saint.” She published her first book, Heal Your Body, in 1976 (at age 50) long before it was fashionable to discuss the connection between the mind and body.

Louise started what would become her life’s work in New York City in 1970. She began attending meetings at the Church of Religious Science and then entered a ministerial program. She became a popular speaker at the church, and soon found herself counseling clients. This work quickly blossomed into a full-time career. After several years, Louise compiled a reference guide detailing the mental causes of physical ailments and developed positive thought patterns for reversing illness and creating health. This compilation was the basis for Heal Your Body, also known affectionately as “the little blue book.”

Louise was able to put her philosophies into practice when she was diagnosed with cancer. She considered the alternatives to surgery and drugs, and instead developed an intensive program of affirmations, visualization, nutritional cleansing, and psychotherapy. Within six months, she was completely healed of cancer.

In 1980, Louise began putting her workshop methods on paper. In 1984, her second book, You Can Heal Your Life, was published. In it, Louise explained how our beliefs and ideas about ourselves are often the cause of our emotional problems and physical maladies and how, by using certain tools, we can change our thinking and our lives for the better.

You Can Heal Your Life became a New York Times bestseller and spent 16 weeks on the list. More than 50 million copies of You Can Heal Your Life have been sold throughout the world.

In 1985, Louise began her famous support group, “The Hayride,” with six men diagnosed with AIDS. By 1988, the group had grown to a weekly gathering of 800 people and had moved to an auditorium in West Hollywood. Once again, Louise had started a movement of love and support long before people began to wear red ribbons on their lapels.

In 1987, what began as a small venture in the living room of her home turned into Hay House, Inc.: a successful publishing company that has sold millions of books and products worldwide and now has offices in California, New York, London, Sydney, Johannesburg, and New Delhi.

“Meeting Louise changed the direction of my life,” said Reid Tracy, President and CEO of Hay House, Inc.

“Her passion for serving others translated into everything she did. Simply by working alongside her, an analytical accountant like me transformed into someone who became aware of the power of affirmations and self-love. Being able to learn from her has been one of my life’s greatest blessings. The beauty of Louise was that you didn’t have to work alongside her to learn from her, you felt like you were there with her with every word you read or heard.”

Hay House has published works by many notable authors in the self-help movement, including Dr. Wayne Dyer, Doreen Virtue, Dr. Christiane Northrup, and Esther and Jerry Hicks, among others.

Louise was very vocal in her belief that age was irrelevant to achieving one’s dreams. To that point, at 81, Louise released her first-ever film on her life and work, You Can Heal Your Life: The Movie.

Hay House will carry on Louise’s legacy and continue to publish products and online learning courses that align with her message of self-improvement and self-love.

Louise Hay’s estate, as well as all future royalties, will be donated to The Hay Foundation, a nonprofit organization established by Louise that financially supports diverse organizations supplying food, shelter, counseling, hospice care, and funds to those in need.

The service in honor of Louise Hay will be a private and intimate event. In lieu of flowers, we welcome your donations to the Hay Foundation. www.hayfoundation.org

Here are some of the most beautiful quotes from Louise Hay. RIP.

Jerry Lewis Dies, age 91

Jerry Lewis, the American comedian and filmmaker died on Sunday morning (US time) at his home in Las Vegas. He was 91.

His birth name was Joseph Levitch, but Shawn Levy, author of the exhaustive 1996 biography “King of Comedy: The Life and Art of Jerry Lewis,” unearthed a birth record that gave his first name as Jerome.

Here is a show reel of his life:

Lewis was an active spokesman for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and raised vast sums for charity. He was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for raising over $2 billion dollars for the charity.

Few may know he was a force as a filmmaker with renowned technical skill, and that he made many contributions to the industry, including the invention in 1960 of a device — the video assist, which allowed directors to review their work immediately on the set — which is still in common use.

Josie's Juice recalls a particular era of Jerry Lewis: his unique comedy style, his slapstick routines with Dean Martin, and their fun duets. This, the most famous... 'That's Amore':

In 1944 he met Patti Palmer, a 23-year-old singer. Three months later they were married, and on July 31, 1945, she gave birth to the first of the couple’s six sons, Gary, The couple divorced in 1980.

It was between his first date with Palmer and the birth of his first son, Lewis had met Dean Martin, a young crooner from Steubenville, Ohio. Appearing on the same bill at the Glass Hat nightclub in Manhattan, they soon found themselves on the same bill again at another Manhattan nightclub, the Havana-Madrid, in March 1946.

It was here they started fooling around with their impromptu sessions after the evening’s last show, and were being noticed, first by a Billboard magazine reviewer.

Booked at the 500 Club in Atlantic City, Lewis convinced the club’s owner to hire Dean Martin to fill a spot, and they cobbled together a routine based on their Havana-Madrid skit, and the phenomenon was born.

Jerry Lewis described their relationship as “sex and slapstick.” Among the audience members at the Copacabana was the producer Hal Wallis, who had a distribution deal through Paramount Pictures, and soon Wallis signed them to a five-year contract.

“My Friend Irma” (1949) evolved with Martin and Lewis providing comic support, then “My Friend Irma Goes West” (1950), but it was not until “At War With the Army” (1951) that the duo were front and centre.

Here is more of their antics. Whoops, Josie's Juice has uncovered a full length movie, 'Hollywood Or Bust':

'The Nutty Professor' is the still the most talked about of Jerry Lewis’s films:

RIP Jerry Lewis. Thank you for the lasting memories of fun Saturday afternoon movies watching you and Dean Martin. Such good times.

Princess Diana: 20 Years On - VIDEOS

Princess Diana has been gone 20 years, and tributes have been plentiful for the beautiful Diana Windsor.

As you'll recall, she died 20 years ago, a victim of a tragic car accident in Paris, dying alongside her boyfriend Mohammed El Fayed.

It seems the world cried many tears for her, and two decades later, we still do.

Seeing her legacy in her sons William and Harry, we have been incredibly proud of her two sons and who they gave gone on to become, and incredibly sad to see what we see knowing her mother isn't her to enjoy it too.

Here is a clip from the recent coverage honouring Princess Diana:

And some clips from the special tonight on Australia's 'Sunday Night' program:
