B. BluMarine: WIN the new fragrance HERE!

The new fragrance B. BluMarine is here!

And it's a beauty!

Escentials Brands is proud to introduce new fragrance B. Blumarine from the iconic Italian fashion house, Blumarine.

B. Blumarine evokes fashion and magic, beauty and femininity, joy and creative energy. B. Blumarine is not just a new fragrance from legendary Italian fashion brand, instead the olfactive embodiment behind the Blumarine woman.

Joyous, vivacious, energetic and vibrant, she possesses the seductive lightness of a chiffon dress and the invincible strength of optimism. This gorgeous picture is exactly what you see as the new ad campaign for the fragrance.

As romantic as a beautiful floral print and as distinctive as the colour of the sky on a cloudless day, the Blumarine woman dominates the scene with a natural air of elegance and simplicity. SO PRETTY!

Young luxury perfume creator Marie Salamagne has built a complex fragrance around the cabbage rose, being the flower-icon of Blumarine fashion house and the favourite of lead designer Anna Molinari. The rose note is flanked by floral accents of jasmine and passion-flower as well as fruity notes of pink grapefruit, pear and cassis.

Sensual accords of musk, sandalwood and cedar complete B. Blumarine, giving it an intriguing gourmand finish.

More about the Fragrance:

B.Blumarine belongs to the floral-fruity olfactory family. Fresh and joyful fruity tones of pink grapefruit, pear and cassis, open to the intense femininity of natural cabbage rose extract that lies at the heart of the fragrance.

Luminous accords of jasmine petals and passion-flower blossoms give way to a distinct sensuousness of cedar wood and sandalwood in soft, brilliant nuances of musk.

The cut crystal bottle of B. Blumarine has been finished with a precious floral print chiffon flower attached to the bottle neck with a gold chain. This unusual ornament on the bottle can also be worn a pendant, ring or carried as a lucky charm to scent and keep in your bag, closet or drawer. Or just keep it on the bottle, adding a dash of prettiness on your bedside table. We LOVE the design!

The Eau de Parfum 100 ml Natural Spray is $79, and the launch date is November 2019 and it is available exclusively at Priceline.

Lady Gaga: EAU DE GAGA - GIVEAWAY

To kick off the Josie's Juice '12 days of Christmas' give-away, we present the new Lady Gaga scent, Eau De Gaga.

Readers can go in the running to win one of FOUR of this delicious scent, valued at $49 each.

Here is all you need to do, below… but first, more about the scent (you guys, I have trailed it and… it is intoxicating and utterly divine and completely addictive. Much like Gaga herself).

Lady Gaga Announces New Fragrance: EAU DE GAGA

Two years ago, Lady Gaga’s debut fragrance Lady Gaga Fame surpassed all norms and standards in the fragrance industry with its innovative technology: the first ever black Eau de Parfum that sprays clear and becomes invisible once airborne. The results are as impressive as the innovation itself: Lady Gaga Fame is on its way to making fragrance history with the number of bottles sold worldwide, and the awards it has received across the globe.

For her next fragrance adventure, Lady Gaga invites women and men everywhere to indulge in her daring new global release.

Lady Gaga and Coty introduce EAU DE GAGA. Created with Gaga’s visionary fragrance powerhouse, Haus Laboratories, this exciting new scent captures the pure essence of Gaga. Dangerously daring, EAU DE GAGA represents the future of a scent that appeals to both men and women; nothing is off-limits.

EAU DE GAGA is an enigmatic scent, fusing daringly diverse elements to create a beguiling allure. The fragrance is built around a beautiful heart of white violet, an intoxicating flower that fuses male and female attractions. To counterbalance this opulent woody-floral intensity, the scent opens with an invigorating burst of sparkling lime that exudes dynamic vibrancy. And it evolves into a sensual trail based on leather, adding a primal quality to the scent. The Perfumer of this beautiful scent: Ursula Wandel of Givaudan.

The striking EAU DE GAGA bottle mirrors the perfume by uniting masculine and feminine design aesthetics. Its stark lines and sleek black lacquered finish deliver a bold statement in simplicity. For an added touch of luxury, the front of the flacon is adorned with a silver name plate that is printed with the words “Paris – New York” and the number 001. The names of the two cities reflect Haus Laboratories’ global identity and the number 001 represents the beginning of a long story, one which is still to be continued. And for the most devoted Little Monsters, the Ultimate Masterpiece 75ml version comes in an elegant red folding jewelry box in which the bottle rests on a sumptuous black velvet.

Like the campaign for Lady Gaga Fame, the EAU DE GAGA campaign was shot by Steven Klein and stars Gaga herself.

EAU DE GAGA Eau de Parfum 50ml is $49 and 75ml is $69, and are at Myer, Priceline and selected Pharmacies nationally now. For stockists please call 1800 812 663.

YSL Black Opium: Edie Campbell

YSL Black Opium - the new fragrance - is released today.

Below, the striking new bottle - and the face of the delicious new scent, Edie Campbell

Edie won the 'Model of the Year' at the 2013 British Fashion Awards, and she is stunning.

Here is the beautiful ad campaign:

And here is the fabulous bottle design:

And in a fabulous Aussie twist, Australian singer Emma Louise is the voice behind the new advertising campaign for Yves Saint Laurent’s newest fragrance Black Opium (as seen in the video above).
The brand has used the singer’s hit song 'Jungle' for its latest ad, a song which was written by the singer almost four years ago.
The track has gone to number 1 in the UK and number 5 in France, and was then picked up by YSL and used in the ad. Fantastic stuff!

The scent itself: it features top notes of pink pepper and orange blossom. Middle notes: jasmine and coffee. And the base notes: vanilla, patchouli, and cedarwood. The whole effect is delicious and rather intoxicating, but entirely wearable and receives many compliments when you wear it… I adore this new scent.

YSL Black Opium is on sale now.

Lily Collins: Lancôme Ambassadress

In beauty news just in from the Lancôme International Communication Department in Paris, actress Lily Collins has been announced as the new Lancôme ambassadress.

Here is the stunning photo of Lily Collins, (shot by Barwerd van der Plas for Lancôme ©2013).

She divides her time between England, the country of her birth and the US, where she currently lives, and boasts a refined pedigree: the granddaughter of a ballerina, Lily was raised in an environment that encouraged artistic pursuits - not surprising, given her father is the ultra-talented Phil Collins.

Lily actually initially set her sights on journalism before making her role in 'Blind Side' with Sandra Bullock (as her daughter), and then in 2009 in 'Mirror Mirror', alongside Julia Roberts, another face of Lancôme.

She will next be on screen in 2014 in 'Love, Rosie', a romantic comedy adapted from the novel Where Rainbows End by the Irish author Cecelia Ahern.

Lily, it must be said, posesses the most breathtakingly beautiful eyebrows I have ever seen, and could definitely be mistaken for the late, iconic Audrey Hepburn. Lily will bring her fresh face to Lancôme from January 2014, starting with the Spring make-up collection called 'French Ballerine' (oh, can you imagine how divine this will be, based even only on the name?)

"It's an absolute honor and privilege to have been chosen to represent the Maison Lancôme. I have always admired the brand's unique and distinctive appreciation for inner beauty and grace, elegance and utter radiance. I feel incredibly lucky to be included among the most inspirational women ambassadresses for one of the most prestigious brands in the
world. It's truly a dream come true," confided Lily Collins.

“With her charm, gracefulness, modernity and lively wit, Lily Collins is the perfect embodiment of femininity according to Lancôme. We are delighted to begin this collaboration with Lily, who brings a renewed sense of radiance and youthfulness to Lancôme,” stated Françoise Lehmann, General Manager of Lancôme International.

There is no doubt the aligning of Lily with the Lancôme brand will be a beautiful match.

Could this be the hottest fragrance ad… ever?

It's for Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue, and the models, the setting, the direction are all… breathtaking. Those Italians! They KNOW how to do sexy. And Mario Testino, renowned photographer, is the genius behind this hotness.

How much do you want to take a dip in that water, just you, your lover, the sea, silence. Watch:

The models: David Gandy (he's not Italian!?) and Anna Jagodzinska.

For more on the scent, click here.

Here's the updated Light Blue campaign, shot in the sapphire blue waters of Capri, this time starring the impossibly beautiful and hugely popular Italian model Bianca Balti and again the equally genetically blessed David Gandy, again under the direction of famed photographer Mario Testino.

The song? It's called 'Parlami d'amore Mariù' by Achille Togliani:

Chanel No. 5: Brad Pitt

What do you think of the new Chanel No. 5 fragrance TV advertisement, starring Brad Pitt?

I little too philosophical for an ad... or just right?

Chanel No. 5 was my very first grown up fragrance - I still have my original bottle. Obsessed.

Brad Pitt: Chanel No. 5 new face

Brad Pitt is new face of Chanel No. 5. Yes, the uber-iconic fragrance brand - who has had actresses Nicole Kidman and Audrey Tatou, and model Linda Evangelista as the faces of the scent - has now gone with Mr Jolie as the new spokesperson.

It’s quite a historic choice for the house of Chanel, whose No. 5 fragrance is a bestseller and has maintained its iconic status since its release in 1921. And it's quite impressive for Brad to agree, as the actor is renowned for being selective with what he spruiks and represents,

Pitt will feature in a short fragrance film directed by Joe Wright ['Anna Karenina,' 'Atonement', and 'Pride & Prejudice'].

Pitt will be shown reciting poetry to an unknown subject who will turn out to be... the Chanel No. 5 fragrance. The campaign images will be photographed by esteemed photographer Mario Sorrenti.

Chanel's president for fragrance and beauty Andrea d'Avack said to WWD: “To keep a legend fresh, you always have to change its point of view. It is the first time we've had a man speaking about a women's fragrance. We think very much that the perfume is a seduction between a man, a woman and the perfume.”

What do you think of Chanel's choice? Would you be [more] likely to buy this delicious, timeless scent if Brad was the face of it?

'Lady Gaga Fame': Lady Gaga's First Fragrance - September 2012

THIS JUST IN: Lady Gaga to launch Lady Gaga Fame, the first fragrance From Haus Laboratories.

It was announced in New York today that the multi-platinum and Grammy Award-winning artist Lady Gaga would release - worldwide - her first fragrance, Lady Gaga Fame in September 2012.

The scent is built around three main accords: dark, sensual and light. The dark accord was inspired by Belladonna, the deadly nightshade possessed by haunted beauties since the 18th century. From this darkness, the fragrance evolves to a sensual accord of opulence, a fusion of dripping honey, saffron and apricot nectar. And lastly, the light accord features the rich floral layer of crushed tiger orchid and jasmine sambac embodies timeless beauty. The accords work together to create a fragrance of floral and fruity elements, with the star ingredient inspired by Belladonna leveling out the whole fragrance and giving  Lady Gaga Fame its signature as a scent.

Gaga’s first fragrance, released through the artist's own Haus Laboratories in association with Coty, is the latest breakthrough expression of her creativity.

Of course - it's going to be very different: set to surpass all norms and standards in the fragrance industry with its innovative technology, Lady Gaga Fame is the first ever BLACK Eau de Parfum that sprays clear and becomes invisible once airborne.

The black-to-clear fragrance is a fantastic innovation of patent pending fluid technology, exclusively launched with Lady Gaga Fame.

The innovations in  Lady Gaga Fame go beyond the black-to-clear fluid: the olfactory structure itself is also very rare for the fragrance industry. Traditionally, perfumes have a pyramidal structure - a hierarchy of sorts with top, middle and base notes. This fragrance, on the other hand, has a unique structure called the "push-pull technology," where the ingredients interact together to highlight different olfactive aspects of each note at the same time, without any hierarchy. All of the notes were crafted to work together harmoniously thanks to the complementary properties of each ingredient, allowing for a true metamorphosis of the scent when worn on the skin.

Gaga collaborated with fashion industry legends in the creation of Lady Gaga Fame: the bottle was designed in collaboration with Nick Knight, and the ad campaign was directed and photographed by Steven Klein.

"Enjoy the first ever fragrance from Haus Laboratories. Fame, a beautiful prospect with a dark heart. X GAGA" said Lady Gaga.

The Lady Gaga Fame fragrance for women will be available at retailers worldwide in September 2012.

Can you even imagine the accompanying advertising campaign?

Stay tuned...

Keith Urban. The Voice. The Crush. The Fragrance

Let's talk about Keith Urban.

You know where I'm going: that simmering crush you had on him... now, thanks to 'The Voice'... well, it's kinda turned into a full-blown, googly-eyed admiration.

Okay, so maybe you're not that enamoured, but at the very least you've gotten to know Nicole Kidman's husband better - and, according to an interview with Keith in the April 2012 edition of The Australian Women's Weekly "Nicole convinced him to do it, believing it would not only be an excellent showcase of his musical talent, but also a chance for Australia to properly get to know the man she fell in love with."

That, we have.

Behold, some gratuitous pics of Keith just for you...

Oh, and if you want to smell like Keith would, you're in luck!

He has recently released his first ever fragrance, called Phoneix By Keith Urban.

The fragrance is light and subtle, but is unmistakably masculine, and it's perfect for daytime or night.

Urban was instrumental in the creation of Phoenix, which is a modern twist on a classic aftershave - rich, leathery, sexy and masculine, and based it on the range of scents he wears.

“We looked at all of the different colognes I actually wear and started to see certain notes that were present in all of them. From there we set about defining what became Phoenix. What I was looking for was a good balance of sensual, spiritual and masculinity, and I think that’s what we’ve achieved”.

With top notes of blackberries, cognac and plum the scent then develops into middle notes of rich dark chocolate and crisp fir balsam and finally to base notes of warm cashmere wood.

Basically, it smells damn delicious on your man. [Close your eyes and imagine Keith, if that does it for you...].

Phoenix by Keith Urban is available in David Jones, Kmart and Priceline, with the Phoenix Classic Set, 30ml Cologne Spray & Deodorant at a teeny $19.95.

And to see what everyone is going on about, here is Keith's promo vid for 'The Voice':

And here are clips from Keith's hits:

So... yes? Is it Keith you are mad about on 'The Voice'?

Madonna Truth Or Dare: First Fragrance

The global icon that is Madonna is to launch her first fragrance, called Truth or Dare by Madonna.

In news just in, Coty Prestige, a division of Coty Inc., announced today that it signed an agreement with MG Icon LLC - a joint venture between Madonna, Guy Oseary, and Iconix Brand Group, Inc. - to launch the celebrated star's first fragrance.

There have been whispers for years about a scent from Madonna but nothing has ever materialised.

And now, it's finally happening.

The fragrance will debut exclusively at Macy’s in April 2012 in the United States, with global distribution beginning in May. The fragrance is set to launch in Australia in the first quarter 2012.

The agreement with Coty marks the first time Madonna, the top selling female recording artist of all time, with more than 300 million records sold worldwide, will launch a fragrance.

It kinda seems like Madonna should have had a fragrance by now; indeed, it has been something on her mind for years.

Madonna said to Women’s Wear Daily, "I have always been obsessed by fragrance and for years wanted to create something personal that was an expression of me but that other people could relate to as well. Something honest, and yet daring, hence the name Truth or Dare.”

“Madonna is the marquis addition to Coty’s unrivaled brand portfolio and further establishes us as cutting edge leaders in the global beauty industry,” Bernd Beetz, CEO, Coty Inc said. “We are thrilled to embark on this new venture with Madonna, a global icon with unprecedented star power and cultural relevance.”

Madonna will be featured in a global print, television, and online marketing campaign produced in collaboration with Fabien Baron of Baron & Baron, who she has worked with on many projects including “Sex,” her renowned 1992 pictorial essay on sexuality. Remember that one, people? Oh... well here's a reminder (see clip below).

“Madonna is an artistic phenomenon whose vision has helped define the cultural zeitgeist for nearly three decades. Her fans around the world have an unparalleled devotion and will be eager to experience a unique, and more personal, materialization of her talent,” Michele Scannavini, President, Coty Prestige said.

Truth or Dare by Madonna will be a signature floral fragrance. It will be a unique blend of 'narcotic' florals, balanced with addictive woods and vanilla, creating a scent that is timeless, yet contemporary, simultaneously dark and light. Of course - it has to be a mixture of contradictions... that personifies Madonna, yes?

The bottle plays up this duality – a classic and sophisticated shape, with modern and edgy detailing.

The scent will be available in a 75ml EDP, 50ml EDP, 30ml EDP, Body Lotion, and Shower Gel.

“Madonna is a globally recognized music and style pioneer. The debut of her first fragrance is a dynamic platform to launch her lifestyle brand, Truth or Dare by Madonna," commented Neil Cole, CEO, Iconix Brand Group. "Coty is a respected leader in the prestige fragrance industry. Their expertise coupled with Madonna's iconic status is a powerful partnership.”

Can't wait to see the associated hoopla and huge press garnered by the first launch in the US, and the launch in Australia.

And here is a clip from an interview with the late Richard Carlton from the Australian 60 Minutes:

Heidi Klum to launch signature fragrance with Coty Inc.

This just in - Coty Inc. and Heidi Klum have today announced the signing of international celebrity and slashie supermodel Heidi Klum to develop and market her new signature fragrance, 'Heidi Klum Shine'.

Ms Klum has been such an allrounder for the past few years, I almost thought she already had one!

Of course, Heidi began her career as a model and cover girl and has gone on to create an extensive extra curricular portfolio including designing an active wear collection called Heidi Klum for New Balance, sold exclusively on Amazon, plus Executive Producing and hosting three TV shows: Project Runway, Seriously Funny Kids, and Germany’s Next Top Model by Heidi Klum, as well as being the artistic advisor and face of leading European cosmetic company, ASTOR, among other projects. Oh, and she has four children with husband, singer Seal.

“I am thrilled to be partnering with Coty on my new fragrance,” said Heidi Klum. “Working for a long time on developing a signature scent and watching it finally come to life is so exciting. I never thought my nose would recover from sniffing so many scent combinations but it is all worth it. I want my fragrance to be truly special and head-turning so that people ask the woman who's wearing it 'What are you wearing? You smell delicious!'."

“We are excited to work with Heidi and capture her energy and femininity in her new signature fragrance,” declared Bernd Beetz, Chief Executive Officer, Coty Inc. “Heidi is an international powerhouse and role model and her fragrance will bring her even closer to her adoring fans around the world. Heidi’s natural beauty radiates from the inside out and is the perfect addition to the Coty family.”

Heidi Klum Shine is expected to launch in [US] fall 2011.
