Brad Pitt Comments on His and Angelina Jolie’s “Family Situation”

A week after Brad Pitt confirmed the news which shocked the world that he and his wife Angelina Jolie are divorcing he is now bowing out of publicity duties as the narrator of Terrence Malick’s, 30-years-in-the-making 'Voyage of Time: Life's Journey.

The IMAX film, which releases in (US) theatres October 7, is now not a priority for him to promote given his delicate family circumstances. 

Brad Pitt told 'Access Hollywood' exclusively:

“Terrence’s Voyage of Time is an incredibly beautiful and unique experiential IMAX film for children and families chronicling the birth of time. I’m very grateful to be part of such a fascinating and educational project, but I’m currently focused on my family situation and don’t want to distract attention away from this extraordinary film, which I encourage everyone to see.”

“I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids,” Pitt said, referring to his six children with Jolie. “I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”

Angelina's attorney confirmed the split last week, saying, “Angelina Jolie-Pitt has filed for dissolution of the marriage. This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting at this time, and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time.”

Later in the day, the actress’s manager followed up with a second statement, adding, “Angelina will always do what’s in the best interest of taking care of her family. She appreciates everyone’s understanding of their need for privacy at this time.”

Angelina filed for divorce after an alleged argument which took place while the family was flying on a private jet from France to the United States. Because the reported incident took place in flight—where the F.B.I. has special aircraft jurisdiction—the F.B.I. has since confirmed they are gathering info about the alleged event before, before deciding whether to launch an investigation.

Chelsea Handler on Angelina Jolie: "A fucking lunatic"

Chelsea Handler and Jennifer Aniston are best friends.



Chelsea is renowned for not mincing words.

When the Jen/Brad Pitt breakup first happened, Chelsea went to town on sticking up for her friend. You can read that HERE.

At the time, she has said about Angelina Jolie:

"She can rescue as many babies from as many countries as she wants to [but] I don't f--king believe you."

And:

"She gives interviews, 'I don't have a lot of female friends.' Cause you're a f--king c--t, that's why."

And now... yup. Chelsea ain't holding back.

On Chelsea's Netflix show called 'Chelsea', she said:

“Brad and Angelina always said they wouldn’t get married until everyone could get married,” she started. “And I always said I wouldn’t get married until they got divorced, so I’m officially accepting proposals. I’m ready.”

And then:

“There are rumours that part of the problem was that Brad was allegedly drinking and smoking too much weed. I wonder why he would need to self-medicate."

“Maybe because he could have been spending the last 12 years at Lake Como hanging out with George Clooney and Matt Damon, instead of being stuck in a house with 85 kids speaking 15 different languages.

“Oh yeah, because he married a f*cking lunatic, that’s why.”

She adds:

Marion Cotillard Dispels Rumours, Announces Pregnancy: Statement

Following on from the news - read the announcement HERE - that the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is over, French actress Marion Cotillard, who is married to French actor / director Guillaume Canet, found herself at the centre of the media storm, and has had to repond to rumours she has had an affair with her current co-star Brad.

Sources (it's always the 'sources') had told sites like Page Six that a private investigator had confirmed that Brad was having an affair with Marion while they filmed their upcoming film 'Allied'.

Today, she refuted the affair claims... with class.

She also announced she is pregnant with her second child with Guillaume; they already have a five year-old son named Marcel.

The actress also sent well wishes to both Jolie and Pitt during "this tumultuous moment":

"This is going to be my first and only reaction to the whirlwind news that broke 24 hours ago and that I was swept up into. 

I am not used to commenting on things like this nor taking them seriously but as this situation is spiraling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up. 

Firstly, many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need. 

Secondly to those who have indicated that I am devastated, I am very well thank you. This crafted conversation isn't distressing. And to all the media and the haters who are quick to pass judgment, I sincerely wish you a swift recovery. 

Finally, I do very much wish that Angelina and Brad, both whom I deeply respect, will find peace in this very tumultuous moment.

She then translated the message into French.

The new cover for the 'New York Post' has just landed and... oh wow.

The US newspaper has pulled no punches when it comes to their just released cover... Jennifer Aniston in an old photo 'laughing' at the demise of 'Brangelina' aka her ex husband Brad Pitt and his wife Angelina Jolie, following Angelina's decision to divorce Brad. Read more about that HERE.

Jennifer Aniston knew it was just a matter of time, pals told The Post on Tuesday.

While the showbiz world was shocked by the news of her former hubby Brad Pitt’s split from Angelina Jolie, “Jennifer always knew that this day would come,” said a source close to the “Friends’’ star.

“Everyone in Jennifer’s inner circle regards Angelina as a crazy master manipulator,” the source said. “But we all presumed the end of their affair would be Angelina leaving Brad for someone else.”

A scathing new claim has just been reported by TMZ.

Following on from the news that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are getting divorced, in a move instigated by Angelina, news and celeb gossip site TMZ has claimed that Brad is now saying SHE has put their kids at risk by calling out  Brad as a bad dad, so claim sources connected to Brad.

The site reports:

We're told Pitt is "furious" at Angelina for allegedly spinning stories that he poses a risk to their kids because of anger issues fueled by weed and alcohol. Pitt says there's now a bounty on the heads of the entire family, because they've now become a prime target for the gaggle of paparazzi.

We're told the way Brad put it is this ... "She's just unleashed hell."

The report continues:

The perimeter of their Hollywood Hills home is now blanketed by photogs, and the LAPD is now patrolling at regular intervals.

We're told Brad had conversations with Angelina over the last few days and pleaded for her to handle the divorce "like adults." He wanted to low-key it for the benefit of the kids. Instead, he says, she went scorched earth by asking for sole physical activity and suggesting he's a risky dad.

Brad, we're told, is angry at Angelina and fearful for their kids.

Angelina Jolie files for divorce from Brad Pitt

Um. What.

We KNOW they are not infallible, whatever the mags and staged pap shots have you believe, but... this?

TMZ has reported that Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt.

Like, legit.

The article says:

Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt and the trigger was a conflict over the kids ... TMZ has learned.

Jolie filed legal docs Monday citing irreconcilable differences.

She's asking for physical custody of the couple's 6 children. She is asking the judge to give Pitt visitation. It's significant ... she does not want Brad to have joint physical custody ... only joint legal custody.

Sources connected with the couple tell us ... Angelina's decision to file has to do with the way Brad was parenting the children ... she was extremely upset with his methods.

We're told there was no alleged "third person" ... her decision to file was solely over Brad's interaction with their children.

Jolie, who's being repped by disso queen Laura Wasser, is not asking for spousal support.

Jolie lists the date of separation as Sept. 15, 2016.

They married in August 2014. They've been together since 2004.

The last time we saw them together was in July when they took the twins, Knox and Vivienne, out for a birthday breakfast in West Hollywood.

Jackie Collins: Josie's Juice Tribute PHOTOS, 2013 Sydney Book Launch

Two years ago, Jackie Collins came to Sydney, to celebrate the launch for her book 'Confessions of a Wild Child'.

New Idea magazine threw her a fun party, with each guest receiving an autographed copy of her book, with Channel 7's Andrew O’Keefe emceeing the fantastic event.

I was privileged to be invited to the event, held at The Star. It was October 2013, summer was in the air, and it was an absolutely perfect evening, with the party going well into the night.

There were several vivid memories from the night I am recalling, now that the iconic, world renowned author has died, age 77. Sadly, Jackie Collins died today, September 20 - it was revealed (after her death) that she'd been battling breast cancer.

The first thing I recall is that, for all her fame and huge popularity, she was one of the most gracious celebrities I have ever met. 

She spent twenty minutes chatting with my guest and I, talking candidly about her life and her book characters and who they were inspired by (definitely by people she knew), and I willingly told her that she had given me a crash course in sex ed, as I read one of her most famous books - 'The World Is Full Of Married Men' - at the age of 18, and I couldn't get enough.

I am sure she has heard a similar story countless times, but she listened intently as if it was the first time she'd heard it. She had a genuine ability to allow you to feel like you were the most important person talking to her in that room, in that moment.

And, she really did blow me away with her writing. She wrote explicitly about 'fucking' and illicit affairs and blow jobs like nobody's business, and you can imagine that as an 18 year old discovering, well, life, it was intoxicating to immerse myself into the sexy world of Jackie Collins characters. She truly was like nobody else, and I truly felt like I was (in my very vivid imagination) living that erotic life. I was hooked.

As were millions around the world.

In the 'Studio 10' TV interviews (quite possibly her last televised interview - click here for that link) she revealed that she was in the process of writing her memoirs. And it was going to be a very juicy read. How could it not be? Ms Collins knew everyone of importance in Hollywood, which she openly admitted was the inspiration behind her so bad they were good book characters. She'd lived a very, very full life and was front and centre of the inner workings of Hollywood.

Here are my now-treasured photos of Jackie on this very special night in Sydney (read more about Jackie below).

 

Jackie wrote 32 novels, starting with the aforementioned 'The World is Full of Married Men', which was actually published in 1968.

The novel was branded by fellow pulp author Barbara Cartland as "nasty, filthy and disgusting". It also introduced us to the Santangelos - I recall seeing the telemovies in the 1990s and was so blown away by the characters coming to life. Plus, the actor who played 'Gino' (Vincent Irizarry) was the most handsome man I'd ever seen on screen.

Says Jackie herself about the mini-series:

"I have made two NBC mini-series about The Santangelos, which I wrote and executive produced. What fun! What a trip! I love making movies of my books and watching the characters come alive.

The first mini-series was Lucky/Chances — a combination of the two books ‘Lucky’ and ‘Chances’. We shot in and around L.A. and everyday was a new set up, creating L.A. back in the 30’s all the way to the 80’s. I was happy to be working with actors and a crew who knew exactly what they were doing.

The very beautiful Nicolette Sheridan played Lucky in a dark wig, and I thought she did a great job. Gino was played by the charismatic and undeniably handsome Vincent Irizarry. He did an amazing job of aging almost 30 years!

And the love of Gino’s life, the lovely Maria, was played with style and grace by a very young Sandra Bullock.

Shooting the movie was great fun. I was on the set from the moment we started in the morning to the moment we wrapped.

Lucky/Chances was a ratings winner, so I followed it with the mini-series of ‘Lucky Boss’. This time Kim Delaney played Lucky. She had the character down and was a pleasure to work with.

I have six more Santangelo novels I would love to bring to life (and I hope to do so one day). In the meantime, keep on reading.

Jackie Collins' website claims there are 500 million copies of her books in print.

Estimates of her personal wealth range between $US100 million and $US180 million.

Despite her illness, Collins appears to have maintained the illusion that it was business as usual until the very end.

People reported that Jackie had deliberately kept her illness largely private, and less than a week ago she invited the magazine into her Beverly Hills home for an interview to promote her latest book.

And as recent as September 16, Hello magazine was there for a tour of her mansion.

"Welcome to the house that Hollywood Wives built," she told Hello, making reference to her bestselling 1983 novel.
