Melissa McCarthy as Sean Spicer: VIDEO 'Saturday Night Live'

This... well, it proves that 'Saturday Night Live' is still very much finger on the pulse when it comes to delivering their version of the news of the moment. Especially, the global meme worthy bits we are allllll talking about.

Behold: Melissa McCarthy as the White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer. You know, the guy who called our PRIME MINISTER (not 'President' as he referred to him) Malcolm Trumble (ah, it's Turnball).

So, here we are:

'SNL' Paris Tribute, Cecily Strong: VIDEO

A simple Tweet, "We stand with you, Paris."
So said Cecily Strong, cast member of Saturday Night Live, who opened the show overnight with a brief, moving tribute to the city of Paris.

“Paris is the city of lights,” she said. “And here in New York City, we know that light will never go out. Our love and support is with everyone there tonight. We stand with you.”
She then recited those words again — in French.
And then, she said the trademark words, the line that opens the show every week: “And now, live from New York, it’s Saturday Night.”
The gesture from NBC’s long running show came a day after a series of terrorist attacks which left at least 129 dead and more than 350 wounded across Paris.

Sia - 'Elastic Heart' + 'Chandelier' (Live on SNL): VIDEO

Sia performed as the musical guest on 'Saturday Night Live' this past weekend in the US, and the famously shy singer wore a face-obscuring mask this time, instead of performing with her back to the audience (as she did on 'Ellen' - in itself a mind-blowing rendition).

The first of these performances was her new song 'Elastic Heart', which had her mini-me , the incredible dancer Maddie Ziegler executing her brilliant choreography, this time with an adult co-dancer. The moves are incredible, the story… so moving:

As was this most beautiful rendition of Sia's renowned 'Chandelier'. Watch and be blown away by this exceptionally talented Australian singer. If you're feeling a bit low, I guarantee this will lift you, move you:

Chills.

Kate McKinnon as Justin Bieber: SNL - VIDEO

Kate McKinnon's impression of Justin Bieber has always been fantastic, and now she has taken it to another level: spoofing Justin over the weekend on 'Saturday Night Live' ('SNL'), donning a snug pair of Calvin Klein boxers for a fab pisstake of the singer, parodying his recent Calvin Klein commercials (with co-star Lara Stone in tow… and over it)

Bill Hader as Vinny Vedecci: VIDEOS - 'La Rivista Della Televisione'

It does not matter what Bill Hader does - presenting an award, acting in a serious role, showing off his acting prowess to Hollywood… he will always be this hilarious nincompoop Vinny Vedecci to me.

The character created for 'Saturday Night Live' - Vinny Vedecci, the host of the fictional 'Rivista Della Televisione' - is fantastic. Inspired by the 1980s/90s format of the TV show hosts on Italian TV, and their handling of visiting American movie stars, it is as ridiculous as it is hilarious.

Watch as each and every star states they do not know Italian, and the stage director's reaction, the non-reaction of his production pasta-eating buddy… and the chain-smoking, vino-swilling 'baby' son. Just too, too good. Oh, and by the way: he is not actually speaking Italian. It's just a series of Italo-sounding words, with a few actual Italian words, and lots of arm-waving, gesticulating, chain-smoking, yelling madness. Perfect.

'Saturday Night Live' Jennifer Aniston Lookalike Comp With 'Hangover' Actors

This... is gold.

Not only do we see 'The Hangover' men take part in a 'Saturday Night Live' skit involving Jennifer Aniston, some classic 'Rachel'/Jen wigs and a whole lotta laughs, we also see some pretty fab impersonations of Jennifer Aniston/Rachel/every character Jen has played (from about the three minute mark of the clip below).

Jennifer Lawrence 'Saturday Night Live' Monologue: 'Disses' Her Golden Globes Nominees and Explains That Meryl Comment

Jennifer Lawrence (who isn't having a J-Lar girl crush right now?) was rather hilarious in her turn as Saturday Night Live host, which just screened in the US and Australia. In her opening monologue she rather hilariously disses her Golden Globes nominees (she won the gong a few weeks ago) and explains why she said "I beat Meryl" during her acceptance speech.

'Fifty Shades of Grey': Saturday Night Live skit

Did you see this hi-larious skit from Saturday Night Live of the randy mothers immersed in their Fifty Shades of Grey hard copy book? This shows some strong arguments to get the books - all three of them in the series - on Kindle. Watch:

Goyte on Saturday Night Live: The Comedy Channel this Saturday

That episode of Saturday Night Live featuring Australian singing sensation Goyte is screening this Saturday at 10.30pm on The Comedy Channel, exclusively on Foxtel.

Here is a preview of the madness, in which Gotye himself features in a skit where show regular’s Andy Samberg and Taran Killam hilariously recreate his phenomenally popular video 'Somebody That I Used To Know':

Men In Black III star Josh Brolin is the special guest host for the funny episode.

Gotye is joined on-stage by successful NZ singer Kimbra for her part in the infectious song – it's a debut performance for both artists on SNL in front of a live audience. Gotye also performs his hit 'Eyes Wide Open'.

The phenomenon that is 'Somebody That I Used To Know' is extraordinary, right across the globe. The single has been number one in 18 countries and the number one iTunes single in 41 countries, nearing 10 million sales since its release. It was the first single in American history to top five Billboard charts in the same week, and is also the biggest song of 2012 in the UK.

Locally Gotye has won six ARIA Awards including Single of the Year and Best Male Artist. Rolling Stone Australia named him Artist Of The Year and Best Male Artist in 2011. Last week at the 2012 APRA Awards, Gotye walked away with three of the awards for Song Of The Year  and  Most Played Australian Work for ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’, as well as Songwriter Of The Year.

The album “Making Mirrors” has been Top 10 in 17 countries and the number one iTunes album in 11 countries with over 1.5 million sales globally, also winning “Triple J Album of The Year” in 2011.

Tune into SNL this Saturday June 9 at 10.30pm, on The Comedy Channel, on Foxtel.
