"Netflix And Chill": Memes

So… 'Netflix and Chill' is a thing now.

If you're not up on the lingo yet, it has emerged that if you say to a partner, “Wanna watch Netflix and chill?” and you're a 'millennial' (the demographic following Generation X, usually born from 1980s to the early 2000s), this means more than binge-watching #OITNB (or 'Orange Is the New Black' for those sans subscription TV).

Take a look at the #Netflix and Chill memes across Instagram and you'll see some rather X-rated images. The ones below are the 'cleaner' ones. 

The old line used in movies, "Wanna come up for coffee? is now seemingly replaced by that Netflix line.

Of course, everyone can see the definition differently.

For some, it actually does mean: wanna watch a movie/binge-watch TV, and relax?

For Josie's Juice's part, we do have Netflix (thanks to being a part of the 'Netflix Stream Team' of bloggers), and we do chill out with it. Not with my partner, though sometimes with my kids. Looks like I missed that memo on sexual innuendo (but it's not too late - and I am not too old - to amp things up a tad…).

Putting a serious spin on it though, we'd like to think that no jokes are made about consent. 'No' still means 'no'. Just saying, people.

RIP Nokia: Memes

After the massive cuts in jobs last month, it was apparent that Microsoft was planning to drop the Nokia brand (sniff).

The end was nigh for Nokia the day it got sold, and today... the Nokia Lumia brand has officially been laid to rest.

However, it's just the ‘Nokia Lumia’ brand that is going away, while the Nokia company will still exist and will continue to produce mobile phones as a separate entity, though under control of Microsoft Mobiles.

In memory of the ol' Nokia (who didn't own one?!) and it's indestructibility and sheer no-frill-ness, here are some of the best memes to honour the Nokia. RIP, 'brick.'

And, you're kinda glued to probably every ep, for every Real Housewives location. You don't care where, you're watching it.

I started my love affair with the 'Housewives' (seriously? Have you ever seen them wear an apron?) when the original started: 'The Real Housewives of the OC', and then moved onto 'The Real Housewives of New York'. When 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' started, I was in. Committed. Cray Italians with too much money? I am so in.

I never got into Atlanta (I know), nor Miami. Or Vancouver (just too much commitment!). And the spin off shows are hard to keep up with (if I, you know, need to sleep sometimes): step right up 'Tamra's OC Wedding'.

I came across this site and it was love at first f*cking bite.

The food site called Thug Kitchen, is full of tough love food advice, recipes, memes, and just plain ol' kick your butt, you-should-be-eating-this pearls of foodie wisdom. Laced with a helluva lotta eff yous.
