Red Carpet: openshop Australia Launch

If you're not an online shopper and don't do TV shopping... this channel is for you!

openshop is the new way to shop - where you can see and almost feel and touch the kind of shopping style fossils like me will love.

Josie's Juice was thrilled to be asked to cover the open shop red carpet and attend the launch of this all new shopping experience.

We LOVED interviewing the stalwarts of TV shopping Nikki Vincent and Justine Diana. They really know their craft and have the most beautiful stories about their connectedness with their audience over the decades.

See the FULL videos at my Instagram IGTV: https://www.instagram.com/josiesjuicejournalist/

Here are some of my posts from the fun red carpet:

Also, check out the wrap up of the whole launch event, also featuring yours truly:

'Love Island': CAST PHOTOS + VIDEOS

What IS 'Love Island' all about?

Josie's Juice has broken it all down here for you, and included all their profiles and Instagram accounts and the rest to get you started...

Here is a just released vid of their arrival:

And the show's premise:

Love Island starts off with 10 "really good looking" ('Zoolander' reference, obv) girls and guys all looking for the ‘one’. But along the way the games' rules will change – with new singles entering the villa and forcing others out.
To stay on Love Island, you must be in a couple.
Upon entering the Villa, guys and girls must 'couple up'. Regular 'recoupling' sessions give the Love Islander peeps an opp to change who they're coupled up with.
If you're left single at the end of the recoupling you're booted out of the Villa.
Sexy and strange challenges are thrown at the Islanders, with a prize of course.
Finally, a public vote remains and this is where the couple most loved by the Australian TV viewers will be awarded with prize money. The twist? The winning couple must then make a choice: love or money.
And the cast:

'The Bachelorette' Men: Sophie's Choice(s) PHOTO

Sophie Monk is about to have dibs on 18 men who could become 'the one' for her, in next week's 'The Bachelorette' Australia...  the first time a celebrity has been chosen as the picker and chooser of the hit show.

And, interestingly, eight of the men are in their 20s.

The rest are in their 30s.

Not a bad line up for Sophie, who is 37.

Not that there's anything wrong with that age gap, of course...

And here they all are!

And here is the trailer again:

'The Bachelorette' starts on Wednesday 20 September, on Channel Ten, at 7.30pm.

Soothe: Massage To You + WIN + Discount Code

Soothe is the world’s largest and fastest-growing on-demand massage service, and has now arrived in Sydney and Melbourne.

Now, okay... massages.

HOW often have you had them and vow to always have them now regularly, like always, always, always.

But, nope.

Never happens. Until six or 12 months later and you vow the same thing, again.

What stops you from indulging in life's simple pleasure of receiving touch?

For me, and I am sure for many, it's time, distance, time, time, time.

Who has the time to commit to leaving work and deciding that yes, I will relax, yes I will submit to just switching off?

I am sure I am not alone when I saw this is a modern day indictment.

And so, why not get them to come to you?

Genius idea! THIS is the service Soothe provides.

And, it's already a huge success overseas, so now the Aussie clientele gets to benefit.

With the addition of Sydney and Melbourne, Soothe now services 53 cities across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia. Soothe brings vetted, certified

massage therapists to one’s home, office, or hotel in as little as one hour.

Josie's Juice was lucky to have a one hour deep tissue massage in the comfort of the workplace. AND: readers can WIN a massage here... see details below.

AND, readers can take advantage of a discount offer.

Simply choose a massage of any kind on the Soothe massage menu, enter this code JOSIEJ20 and a $20 discount will apply to that massage of any length and kind! YESSS!

It was in a separate room of my choice, with my awesome massage therapist Christina. She came upstairs, set up the room, and made my space her space, and I felt completely relaxed in my own environment.

She revealed that she's been asked to do massages in all sorts of places, but late night hotel massages are popular. Imagine, you're in an unfamiliar city, and you'd really like to give those muscles some relief after flying or work meetings all day.

Book the massage on the Soothe app, within the operating hours (it operates between 8am and 10pm, 7 days a week) and voila, your massage is delivered to you, and no money needs to exchange hands. It's booked and paid for at time of booking.

Here is the Soothe app: CLICK HERE.

Josie's Juice highly recommends Soothe. There's nothing else to know except... book it. You won't regret it, and you may just finally fulfil that commitment to yourself that you WILL relax regularly.

Here is a pic of my experience:

A post shared by Josie Gagliano (@josiegags) on

“We’re pleased to serve the residents of Sydney, Melbourne, their surrounding areas,
and their visitors,” says Soothe’s Founder and CEO Merlin Kauffman. “Everyone
deserves to have a massage after a long day at the office or while on vacation, either as
a gift to oneself or to another.”

Soothe offers deep tissue, Swedish, sports, and prenatal massages between the hours
of 8 am and midnight daily, for singles or couples. Massages are fixed-price per person,
and Soothe covers tips, which is very much a US thing to do, but it's good for Aussie clients to know.

“Our growth is really due to the experience our massage therapists deliver,” adds
Kauffman. “They provide spa-quality treatments without the hassle of finding parking or
dealing with traffic. In addition, our massage therapists earn two to three times more
than the industry standard. Soothe is extremely proud to provide flexible work
opportunities for therapists.”

Kauffman created the company in 2013 while at Harvard Business School, a period
when he was frequently travelling, and found it difficult to schedule a massage
appointment outside standard business hours. What started as a solution to his own
problem, however, has grown into a flourishing business, with the number of certified
massage therapists on the platform having tripled since last year.

Soothe currently has a network of over 9,000 certified massage therapists globally. All
Soothe massage therapists have been interviewed in-person and only therapists who
meet the requisite level of certification and have a history of customer excellence are
accepted into the Soothe network.

Clients can book a Soothe massage by downloading the iOS or Android app
(soothe.com/app).

Prices for massages are:

- $99 + GST for 60 minutes
- $145 + GST for 90 minutes
- and $185 + GST for 120 minutes

Clients may choose the type of massage, the treatment length, and the therapist’s
gender. Those who are unable to download the app can book via soothe.com, or call
1800.838.276 from within Australia, 800.960.7668 from within the US and Canada, or
808 178 0086 from within the U.K. All three booking options are available 24/7.
Soothe.

Sophie Monk: 'The Bachelorette' 2017 Confirmed VIDEOS

So, yes... the BIG news in TV is that Sophie Monk is 'The Bachelorette'. For real.

YUP.

The woman who publicly says that her love life is in the doldrums and has been unlucky in love has now been plucked by VERY clever Channel Ten network execs and named as this year's new 'Bachelorette'.

Josie's Juice thinks this is kinda PERFECT!

Photo: Channel Ten
Here she is talking about the catalyst for her decision to be said reality TV star... her mum!

Watch:

Soph may have and her fair share of her high profile boyfriends, including Hollywood actor Sam Worthington, musician Benji Madden, even and footballer Eric Grothe Junior, but the 37-year-old will now spend the coming months seeing if she can score her perfect BF as the star of Channel Ten’s hit show. Previous Aussie Bachelorette's have been: Georgia Love and Sam Frost.

Here is what Georgia Love - last year's The Bachelorette - says about life after the show, on the Logies red carpet:

Sophie is no stranger to taking the piss out of herself... and lining others up to do the same. See clip below, with her recent interview with Tom Gleeson on 'The Weekly' TV show:

One thing is for sure... she will make for INTERESTING TV. We say, bring it!

Sophie on KIIS with Kyle and Jackie O:

Here is how Sophie herself broke the news... she is wetting her pants, people. Love ;)

Sophie is no stranger to TV. She has been on all these shows, PLUS she got her start on one of the very first reality TV shows in Australia, 'Popstars', where she was teamed up with fellow singers to create Bardot:

'Married At First Sight': Michael "Australia's Pickiest Man" - VIDEO

Michael will be THE most talked about man on 'Married At First Sight' when it airs in early January 2017.

This video was released, and there's little doubt Michael's wish list when it comes to a woman is extensive, particular, and will be the subject of social media discussion.

Here it is:

In case you need that repeated...

“I don’t like the pretentious fake look, I hate that. Natural beauty? Perfect. If you can wake up in the morning and not have to worry about make-up ... They [only] put a little bit of foundation on and they look fantastic,” says Michael.
He does allow for one exception to his “no fakes” rule: “I don’t mind fake boobs, that doesn’t worry me in the least,” he adds. Cool.

Also: Michael’s partner needs to have “small ears, good teeth, physically active, is motivated, likes to train and keeps healthy."

Plus: she needs to wear high heels, but is never taller than him. And, she must be under 60kg.

He also gives a 'warning' of sorts to the show's producers: if he’s presented with a bride he deems “ugly”, he’ll reject them on sight. Well, it IS all about the senses and "marriage at first sight", right?
“Michael is the most challenging groom we have ever come across. We have never, ever met anyone like him,” says psychologist John Aiken, who has returned to the show one of the MAFS resident relationship experts.
Michael, thank you in advance for giving us sensational viewing.
'Married At First Sight' will screen on January 30, 2017 on Channel Nine.

'The Candyman' Mansion Party: WIN TICKETS + KIIS Interview

'The Candyman' aka Travers Beynon is opening his house up for a private party... and you can attend.

He talked about this unique opp (c'mon, aren't you just a little bit curious?) during his appearance on the 'Kyle and Jackie O Show' yesterday on KIIS FM radio. See below for more details.

Often controversial, 'The Candyman' wanted to set the record straight about what the media gets wrong about him ('A Current Affair' featured him on the show many times, with the photo of dog collared women on each report).

He said during the Kyle and Jackie O interview:

"They say that I degrade women, but when you have so many women like I do, you can’t afford to degrade women. It’s not going to work."

Added Kyle: "Exactly, why would they be there if you did? They’re not being made to be there."

And:

"The only thing I could ever be accused of is being obsessed by women."

'The Candyman' actually has custody of his two eldest children.

"I have four children, two from a previous marriage that I have sole custody of, which no-one really brings up, but as you can imagine for a father to have sole custody, I must have been alright in the judges eyes. Two years I spent in the courts.”

How did he make his money? Travers started out as a model, investing his money, and turning it into millions. Today he has a wife (his second), and more than five girlfriends at any one time.

And now, the 'Seven Deadly Sins' party at 'The Candyman' mansion, on the Gold Coast in Queensland.

It's happening on December 3, and you can win tickets.
