Miranda Kerr: "It's important to make an effort in your relationship, for each other." VIDEO

Miranda Kerr recently gave an interview with Net-a-Porter's The Edit offering an insight into her  marriage with Evan Spiegel.

"My grandma taught me that men are visual and you need to make a little effort," she told the reporter, "with a wink".
"So when [Evan] comes home, I make sure to have a nice dress on and the candles lit. We make time to have a nice dinner together."
"It's all about balance," Miranda explains. "At work, I'm like, 'We need to do this!' and, 'This needs to happen!' But at home, I slip into my feminine side and empower Evan to be in his masculine."
The "slipping into her feminine" part to Miranda means: "Just be more in my feelings. More gentle, leaning back. It's a nice balance."
And overnight Miranda has further elaborated:

On US show 'TODAY' she shared photos from her wedding to Evan and talked about the heart-shaped crystal she carries with her.

And talks about how

"Well to be honest, I feel it's important to make an effort in your relationship, for each other."

Chewbacca Mother: Candace Payne VIDEOS

I LOVE THIS WOMAN.

Mostly, because I am a HUGE fan of laughing at my own jokes. And her laugh is KILLER!

Candace Payne is the 'Chewbacca Mom/Mum' - and here is why...

SEE THE ORIGINAL VIDEO HERE.

This video of Candace laughing hysterically while wearing the 'Star Wars' mask got well over 100 million views after being uploaded to her page earlier this month.
The mum-of-two, 37, spontaneously purchased the Wookie mask while returning some items to a local branch of department store Kohl’s in the US... laughed her head off while trying it on. She's my spirit animal.
She then found herself inundated with Star Wars related gifts from the department store.
They gave the mum Chewie masks for her family, as well as a bumper set of store gift cards worth $US2500 ($3460) for the free PR.
Kohl’s shared a video on their Twitter account of her being presented with a heap of Star Wars merchandise along with her two kids, who were excited to receive the goods from the store. Go them!
She says in the vid: “It’s the simple joys in life,” the stay-at-home mother wrote in her Facebook post, which was filmed in the store’s car park.

And then... this:

Then... a post on Facebook Live. They must LOVE HER. Watch that HERE.

Jennifer Lopez Carpool Karaoke: VIDEO

James Corden and Jennifer Lopez have done the carpool thing. And it has been touted as   "the best ever."

Also: James takes Jennifer's phone and sends a text to Leonardo DiCaprio. AND HE REPLIES...

Here is the video:

James texts to Leo:
"Hey baby, I'm kind of feeling like I need to cut loose. Any suggestions? Let me know. J.Lo, you know, from the block."
"I'm not going to let you send that!", she says, with a laugh. But before she could stop him, James sends the text. Of course.
And then...
"He wrote back!" JLo says. "No way. No, he did not!" Corden replies.
"He said: 'You mean tonight, boo boo? Club-wise?'" JLo reads. "See, here's the funny part is that he actually thinks I'm serious!"
"I love that he wants you to cut loose. This guy is the best," James replies.
Other vid highlights?
She talks about her personal life: she has gotten five wedding proposals.
"I've had some amazing proposals," the mother-of-two revealed. "I've been married a couple of times I'm still trying to get it right."
"I don't want to compare one to the other, they were all pretty spectacular, they were nice," she added. "And there were some that asked me to marry me that were good, but I said no."

Taylor Swift: 'Out Of The Woods' VIDEO

It's here. The new video for the new Taylor Swift song 'Out Of The Woods'. It has only just been released... looks like Taylor released it in the very last hours of December 31. Clever Swifty move.

The song itself is strangely addictive and dramatic and Tay Tay all over:

Tina Arena: 'Chains', The Veronicas, Jessica Mauboy: VIDEO + ARIA Hall of Fame speech

This. Everything.

Tina Arena KILLS IT, owns it, with this performance of her classic, the song that turned her career on its head, opening the doors for incredible things: 'Chains'.

The Veronicas and Jessica Mauboy intro'ed Tina's song spectacularly.

Tina then took it away - including her breath, replacing it with spine tingles.

WATCH THE WHOLE CLIP HERE.

Also, Tina gave the speech of her LIFE in accepting the ARIA 'Hall of Fame' award:

YOU CAN WATCH THE WHOLE OF THAT SPEECH HERE.

Twenty years after becoming the first female to win Album of the Year for her record Don't Ask, Tina said:

"Who decides in radio that a woman at a certain point in her life no longer becomes viable?" she said.

"Women and men of all ages have something interesting to say but what I have struggled with is the complete ostracisation of a woman at a certain age.

"I want to still acknowledge that ladies over 40 are still in the game — my darling friend behind me Miss Kylie Minogue, the wonderful Madonna, J-Lo, Annie Lennox, my Lord the list does go on.

"Keep doing what you are doing, and keep doing what you do best lady because we will decide when it's time for us to stop."

She added:

"What excites me now is knowing there never needs to be firsts like these again," she said.

"The world has opened up and I'm so happy that I may have played just a very very small role in making those things easier and more accessible for women to come."

Julia Morris: Logies Mistake - VIDEOS

Actress and comedienne Julia Morris was hilarious last night when she inadvertently stole the show with a huge blunder which she deflected in her typical comical fashion. She was hilarious.
While presenting the award for Outstanding Entertainment Program she forgot to read out the nominees and just announced the winner - 'The Voice.'
After the judges from The Voice came to the stage to accept the award, Julia realised her mistake.
“Did I forget to talk about the nominees?” she asked. “It’s live, don’t tell anyone, we can cut it out later.
“We’re going to talk about the nominees later when I’m in really big trouble. It’s just inappropriate to talk about who they are now, isn’t it?” She then decided it wasn’t too late and continued.
“Let’s pretend it hasn’t happened, ladies and gentlemen, the nominees… I wish I had my glasses,” she said as she read out the nominees.
“Come on, why did it have to be me, couldn’t it be someone groovy who did that?”

Jonathan Crombie - Gilbert Blythe In 'Anne of Green Gables' - and what he means to us. Plus, VIDEOS

How has the sudden death of Jonathan Crombie (who famously played Gilbert Blythe In 'Anne of Green Gables') affected his very upset passionate fans?

More on that below; first some romantic and lovely video compiles of Gilbert and his beloved Anne Shirley (Megan Follows) throughout the cult classic:

Says Thereyns Koo, a devoted fan and fellow writer: "I think anyone who had an older sister was forced to model themselves on him."

He adds: "Stoic, smart and a doctor - he was what every ethnic mother wanted their son to be and their daughter to marry."

"Far out," he continues, "We never knew what we had until it was gone. At age 48, former Canadian teen actor died of a brain haemorrhage. Except this was Jonathan Crombie. Who? Maybe you've heard of 'Gilbert Blythe'? Gilbert Blythe. 'Anne Of Green Gables' was a phenomenon. The story of a red headed orphan who found herself at a farm in the 1800s spoke to many girls.

"Anne was smart, socially awkward, fiery and beyond capable. Gilbert Blythe was introduced as the rich boy who took an interest in Anne and loved her despite all her short comings. And all her strengths."

How very sad that a beautiful life has been cut short so very young.

Many generations will go on to remember Gilbert Blythe, and his memory will live on.

Justin Bieber: Comedy Central Roast - VIDEO

The much anticipated Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber is set to screen on Tuesday March 31 at 8.30pm, first on The Comedy Channel, 'Express from the US.'

Hosted by Roast Master Kevin Hart, the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber assembles a wide range of pop culture voices to hold one of the world's biggest teen idols over an open flame. Here is the trailer (with more fabulous clips below):

The 20-year-old pop star has accepted the challenge to be roasted with ease and in a happy coincidence for audiences the event will fall on his 21st birthday. The Roast will be "no holds barred" and everything and anything is fair game. Look out, Biebs.

Actor and comedian Kevin Hart (Real Husbands of Hollywood) has been named the Roast Master and will be joined by Roast regular Jeffrey Ross – who is fast becoming Bieber’s worst nightmare. If you've watched these 'roasts' before, you'll know they are as can't look away as they are utterly hilarious and hugely inappropriate - you LOL at the very bits which are bitingly scathing.

Comedian Hannibal Buress (Broad City), actor and stand up Chris D’Elia, rap royalty Snoop Dogg, actress Natasha Leggero, hip hop artist Ludacris, basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal, and controversial television personality Martha Stewart will also be stepping up onto the dais with Justin, with more names to be announced soon.

Bieber, who is no stranger to being mocked and regularly cops flack in mainstream media like Saturday Night Live and on social media, is the first musician to get a roast since Flavor Flav had verbal shots fired at him in 2007 (gosh, I need to hunt down a clip of this brilliance!). The most recent Comedy Central Roast was with James Franco who was skewered and burned in 2013.

Whether you’re a diehard Belieber or not his biggest fan, you won’t want to miss this 90 minute special premiering on Foxtel’s The Comedy Channel Tuesday March 31 at 8.30pm Express from the US. Follow and add to the social media conversation by using this hashtag: #BieberRoast

And more, behind the scenes fabulousness, and a parody of the Calvin Klein clip with the Biebs:

2015 Super Bowl XLIX Best Ads: VIDEOS

Even if you're not into the Super Bowl, you know the ads are the best part (that, and halftime entertainment. This year, Katy Perry).

And so, some of the Super Bowl XLIX best ads for 2015 are here (the game screens on Channel 7, on Monday February 2 from 10am):

And, the only Australian brand to feature with a made-for- Super Bowl ad, Michael Hill:

More about the Aussie ad:

Michael Hill's creative team went to New York, grabbed more than 1200 people off the streets and asked them all about love. The resulting video is showcases what love – in all its forms – means to us. This was then edited down to 30 people, who feature in this moving campaign for Michael Hill. None of these people are professional actors and none of them were cast into a particular role – it's all very real and very honest. The above is the result.

Oh, and here is the longer version of the Michael Hill ad. Okay, now this one really moved me!

And, the only Aussie entrant in this prestigious ad platform, the 'Doritos Crash The Super Bowl' ad: the Dorito's 'Man Child ad by Australian Armand de Saint-Salvy:

And this one, just in, which is making people cry:

Aleesa Hall: 'Glam Me Up' - Interview + VIDEO

Aleesa Hall is a fantastically talented and very experienced makeup artist who has worked with the best in the business in Australian television.

I met Aleesa when I undertook a fitness challenge with Fit n Fast and she came from her shift at the 'Today' show that morning to my home to do my makeup, pre photo shoot. She was fabulous and friendly and put my nerves at ease. I was showcasing my weight loss and donning some stylish clothes, and she had the job of making me look fresh and fabulous for all the different looks.

Here we are at the shoot. She's exceptional at what she does:

Aleesa has founded a beauty blog called 'Glam Me Up' three years ago (with fellow 'Glammers; and now she runs it all herself) with instructional, easy to follow videos on different makeup looks. Each video is fun and allows you to recreate looks with ease.

"I'm happy to say Glam Me Up is finally moving in the direction we had intended all those years ago - to teach women how to use makeup. Most women, especially in my age group, are terrified of misapplying makeup, so wear none at all. Or, they are stuck in a make-up rut from eons ago. I want to show real-life, grown up girls, that makeup is fun, and you can use it to look great. I now release weekly make-up tutorials and will soon be collaborating with my favourite beauty site 'The Glow' for further video how-tos. Stay tuned!"

Aleesa did a fab Q & A with Josie's Juice, and then, sit back and enjoy one of the excellent Glam Me Up videos, below.

Tell me your background in makeup (how you got started, why you delved into TV makeup and how long ago)?

I started my makeup course when I was 18 years old  (a long time ago) at 3-Arts MakeupTechnology which was the first makeup school in Sydney. I had previously completed two years of Fine Arts at TAFE which I had an inkling, even at that age, was possibly a complete waste of time. But when I started makeup college - I LOVED IT! And I could see a future in the biz. Unfortunately, two months into the course I was hit by a car travelling at 80kms an hour, and spent the next few months in and out of hospital, in various stages of repair. It was such a pain getting up that rickety staircase in a full leg cast with crutches!

The best thing I did to get my career rolling was work for M.A.C when the company first arrived to Australian shores - it was a really exciting time. And it is THE best way to get lots of experience with different faces, nationalities, and age groups. It was a pleasure this year to work again with the M.A.C team on 'The Voice' -  they are all really strong artists and importantly, great fun.

Tell me what a typical day is like for you?

It depends of course what I'm doing, but if I'm working at Channel Nine in the afternoon, I will do something to update my beauty site in the morning, either writing a blog or filming a tutorial. I have been known to turn up to Nine with a full smokey eye from filming said video. Working at Channel Nine is a hoot! I've freelanced there for 12 years, and there are so many colourful characters that I know and love who I can spin a yarn with. And of course, just sometimes, I even do makeup. If they play their cards right.

How do you deal with starting a whole lots of beauty products all the time - do you have an issue with pristine packaging and something being too beautiful to open? Or do you just go for it? (I am not sure if this question is about me, or you, ha!)

I have NO attachment to packaging as I'm very much into what the product can deliver. Being a makeup artist, I'm pretty sure of someting fairly soon, yet at the same time can tire of a product very quickly, moving on to the next best thing. I am so the product floozy!

What are some never fail beauty secrets to pep up tired faces you need to makeup at 4am? Tell me products you use, and what you do to keep the people you are making up wide awake and cooperating with their faces being gently prodded!

First you must fake the skin - which is to prep and prime. Quite often at this time of the morning, the faces haven't even popped out yet, if you know what I mean. I'm quite fond of M.A.C Softening Lotion drenched on a make-up pad and pressed against the face - it just wakes up the skin. Using a primer like Nars Pore Refining is also the ticket. Plus, a good foundation with a little luminosity. And nothing makes the face appear more alive than a healthy dose of cream blush on the apples of the cheeks.

What's the best advice you'd give to someone trying to break into the makeup industry in any capacity?

I always tell, especially the younger girls, who really want to get in the industry: do your hairdressing apprenticeship first! You will get so much more work if you're a double threat. Plus, you can always assist make-up artists while you're doing your apprenticeship - the fact that you are learning hair will only make you more desirable as an assistant.

You can follow Aleesa on Facebook here and Twitter here. And see and subscribe to all the Glam Me Up videos here.

And now, my fave Glam Me Up video: "How-To: Everyday Makeup in Your 40s"

Okay, here's another! The smokey eye how-to. LOVE it:
