Annalise Braakensiek dies, age 46

Australian model Annalise Braakensiek was found dead in her Sydney apartment on the afternoon of Sunday January 6, 2019.
In this report by Melissa Hoyer just in, police and ambulance crews came to her Potts Point apartment at about 3.30pm after friends and family became concerned about her whereabouts.
The report says:
Close friends have told news.com.au the jewellery creator, lingerie designer and health guru hadn’t been heard from for a few days.
Police rescue and ambulance attended the apartment where they found Ms Braakensiek, 46, deceased.
There were no suspicious circumstances, police said, and they will prepare a report for the coroner.
Annalise split from her stockbroker husband Danny Goldberg in April after 16 years together.
Reports Melissa:
At the time, in a deleted Instagram post, she wrote: “I don’t know if a broken heart mends or learns to live in pieces”.
She had bought the Potts Point apartment in November last year following the separation. When she bought the Victoria Rd property, she talked about plans to decorate in her signature style.

I personally remember Annalise as the beautiful woman on the cover of the fresh new magazine I started working at, Cream magazine, owned by Antonino Tati.
At the time Annalise was HUGELY popular and I thought it was so clever for Antonino to choose Annalise to be on the cover of his new mag, and in such a fun and left of centre style shoot.

Everything seems to feel twisted and upside down at the moment... am I right?!!!! Life’s challenges have been deep, dark, difficult, demanding and down right scary lately. Flip Out Prestons: Kid's Party REVIEW

Gone are the days when birthday parties were just fairy bread and sausage rolls. Actually, in my home they never were quite like that, and my kids didn't try fairy bread until they were five and discovered it served at a friend's birthday party.

 These days, the stakes are high, and most of the criteria surrounding parties centre on impressing other kids. Or mums impressing other mums. EEK!

 Full disclosure, none of the above has ever been me. The focal point of my parties for my kids - I have 11 year old twins, boy and girl, Rafael and Estella, so yesss I ONLY have to throw ONE party a year - is for my kids and their friends to expend AS MUCH ENERGY as possible during that 4-5 hour period.

 For the past few years we have had some pretty fun pool parties at our home, plus some Maccas and playland style parties too, but when Miss-About-To-Turn 11 says she wants to try something different and it involves a party outside of our home, with someone else cleaning up the party madness, AND kids expend oodles of energy and are probably going to be a sweaty mess by the time the cutting of the cake happens... I am IN!

 Estella specifically pinpoints FlipOut as her party place of choice, and she wants me to take the reins. When we discover there is a disco party option, dancing queen over here is super keen.

 The staff at Flip Out Prestons (in NSW, in Sydney's South-West, and the closest one to where we live) are super nice, brimming with enthusiasm, and know their stuff. See the link HERE with all their details.

 They talk us through all the options possible (cake inclusion, socks for all participants, music on a Friday and Saturday night, the latter of which is an actual live DJ, the former is music streaming though the centre, which is based in an industrial style precinct).

 The best part (or an additional job, depending on how you look at it) is that you are able to bring your own food along, with the only restrictions being the number of platters (four) which means the freedom to shape the party how you like, with the lovely staff at FlipOut setting up your tables for you. It's so great to turn up and the party table is ready for you!

 Seasoned mums: you'll know this for sure... the kids won't care much for the food. They just WANNA PARTY immediately on those trampolines. And that, they do. There is so much fun to be had they simply don't want to waste time.

 The party host takes the group of kids to the trampoline area, which takes up most of the whole FlipOut set up, and we're talking mega big trampoline space here, where the host takes the kids through their paces with activities and non competitive action, and basically expertly reigns in all that energy, while allowing them to have lots of fun and just be kids.

 So, it's supervised and freestyle fun, utilising their time jumping as much as possible, then expertly coaxing them back to the table for food, then back again for cake, and off they go again for more party shenanigans.

 The pricing structure is flexible and very reasonable: the best parts of it are knowing the hosts take care of all the elements for you, plus the kids will leave tired and happy! Everyone wins!

Deborah Knight Co-Hosting Today, Replacing Karl Stefanovic

In news just in, Deborah Knight is the NEW co-host in Australia's 'Today' show

 In a move never before seen on Australian commercial network breakfast TV, two women will be hosting a prime time brekkie show.

 We are HUGE fans of Deborah Knight! Well done, Deb!

 Former co-host of 'Weekend Today' and '60 Minutes' reporter Tom Steinfort will replace Sylvia Jeffries as the show's newsreader. 


 Here is the announcement:
Respected journalists Georgie Gardner and Deborah Knight will host a new look TODAY with Tom Steinfort joining the line-up as newsreader, it was announced this morning.
Joining the hosts will be legendary Melbourne sports presenter Tony Jones, Nine Finance Editor Ross Greenwood and former ABC journalist and Triple J newsreader Brooke Boney as entertainment reporter.
The new-look team will begin on-air on Monday, January 14.
Alongside the core presenting team will be the who’s who of Nine News reporting and presenting talent, including Political Editor Chris Uhlmann, Richard Wilkins, Lara Vella and Christine Ahern and Jessica Millward.
While on Weekend TODAY, David Campbell joins Allison Langdon, Jayne Azzopardi and Clint Stanaway.
Rounding out the morning programming will be TODAY Extra, hosted by Sonia Kruger and David Campbell for three days a week, with Richard Wilkins joining Sonia in the seat Thursdays and Fridays. The new line-up forms Australia’s most dynamic – and ground-breaking – morning presenting team across the whole week.
Darren Wick, Nine’s Director of News and Current Affairs, said: “Georgie Gardner, Deb Knight and Tom Steinfort will spearhead an energised and exciting TODAY Show in 2019. We’ve brought together a team from within the Nine family who are already well-known, trusted and liked by Australian viewers.

Following the bizarre - and swift - rumours that national icon Olivia Newton-John had only 'weeks to live', the timeless singer, actress and wellness advocate has quashed rumours... by appearing in her own video!

Olivia Newton-John: reports she has 'weeks to live' untrue

Reports have surfaced all day (on January 2, Australian time) that singer and actress Olivia Newton-John, age 70, has 'weeks to live', but it turns out they are untrue.

 According to this article on Radar Online, this is what their version of Olivia's prognosis is:
Ravaged by a spreading and incurable cancer, songbird Olivia Newton-John is clinging to life in the hopes she can see her only child, Chloe Lattanzi, marry in the new year!
“Olivia’s bodily functions appear to be shutting down, but she refuses to let go until she makes it through Chloe’s wedding day!” a source exclusively spilled to RadarOnline.com.

It continues:

 “I refuse to die in a hospital room. I’ll go on my own terms, in our home and in my own bed — but not until Chloe says, ‘I do,’” the “Xanadu” star told a close pal.

 BUT! According to this article this afternoon on news.com.au, those reports of Olivia's weeks long terminal state are untrue.

 It says:
But those in the star’s inner-circle have told news.com.au that ONJ is A-OK.
An Australian source said Newton-John, famed for her role in Grease and a string of musical hits, is perfectly well and had enjoyed the Christmas and New Year period.
Her American representative Michael Caprio laughed when contacted by news.com.au, saying reports of his client’s imminent demise were “hilarious”.
“No she has not,” Mr Caprio said. “You might want to get better sources versus reading tabloids.”
It is believed  the Radar Online story followed a report in the US tabloid National Enquirer, which promoted a “tragic world exclusive” story late last month.
The headline read “THE END“Losing third fight with cancer; going home to die on her ranch.”
