Australian marie claire is celebrating: they are publishing their 200th issue.
The special collector's editions (yes, there are two covers!), featuring enduring model Claudia Schiffer, are on sale Wednesday 7 March.
The new issue will also reveal of an ongoing larger book size, and a freshened-up new look.
The 220mm x 297mm book size means larger imagery (enjoy all the pictorials, on a grander scale), and to kick things off for this edition of the much loved magazine they are celebrating with a ‘Fashion Issue’.
Jackie Frank, editor/publisher marie claire comments: “After 16 years as Australia's number one fashion magazine, what better way for marie claire to mark the occasion of our 200th issue than by turning over the entire issue to all things fashion?
“From our cover - which celebrates the resurgence of the supermodels courtesy of cover girl, Claudia Schiffer - to our stunning fashion and beauty pages, and our compelling feature stories, this edition is a real celebration of the ever-changing fashion world.
“Our bigger format complements these changes perfectly. Magazines have always engaged with the reader in a unique way: a big part of the reader experience is the feel of luxury that each new issue evokes, and our re-sized pages reinforce this position.''
Reproduced here is one of my fave stories in the mag: where the fashion stylists are restyled.
