Does this image offend you?
It certainly has been making waves since its release.
In the Daily Mail, it has been reported that Domestic violence and women's rights advocacy groups have attacked Vogue Hommes International publisher Conde Nast, after the release of its latest cover, featuring Stephanie Seymour being choked by model Marlon Teixeira.
The publisher's chairman, Si Newhouse, and editorial director, Thomas Wallace, received a letter from four organisation leaders - Sanctuary for Families, Safe Horizon, Equality Now, and the New York chapter of NOW - asking Conde Nast to pull the magazine from New York newsstands immediately, saying the 'disturbing' image is one of 'glorifying violence against women as an act of love.'
In the letter, it stated: "Choking is not a fashion statement, and certainly not something that should be used to sell magazines."

Mine? It's clearly designed to be controversial, to offend, to titillate, to incite heated discussion. He is indeed going in for what looks like a 'choke' - clearly offensive.
It does, however, kinda look like she's got him by the back of the hair. Not that this softens the image, but it's obviously styled that way to create ambiguity. To allude that she, also, is very much in control.
And I have four words: 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.
With that kind of prose at the height of popularity - S & M, rough sex, etc - it's not surprising Vogue has produced such a cover.
So tell me: are you offended?

Doesn't offend me at all. I think it's definately riding the coat tails of Fifty Shades of Grey....
