Tousle Me Softly: product review. My new staple for tousled hair.

With a slew of hair products on the market, it takes a special one to dazzle me.

Helllloooo, Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly!

Specifically, I adore the Tousle Me Softly mousse.

I know what you're thinking: mousse? 1980s hair anyone?

Lord knows I used loads of the stuff to create voluminous, er, Effie hair. It's the word coined for what my gen referred to as big, OTT hair, as sported by the TV character Effie on Aussie TV show Acropolis Now.

But this magic stuff is different.

Delivering that desirable, on-trend look of undone curls, it is now THE staple product in my hair product cabinet... actually, right now it's the only thing I use.

Other products in the collection include the shampoo, conditioner, the spray gel (use the spray gel on medium to thick hair, while the mousse is perfect for more fine hair), and the hair spray (love this too: it gives a light, flexible hold with even coverage to keep hair in place).

Says Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester, Herbal Essences global celebrity ambassador:

“The Tousle Me Softly collection creates a really key look for me, that un-done curl that is still very shiny and touchable.”

Adds Charles Baker-Strahan, Herbal Essences hair ambassador and Leighton Meester’s personal hair stylist says,

“To me tousled hair is about mixing different textures together. It’s relaxed accessibility at the same time as being aspirational. It’s soft, touchable and beautiful. It accentuates the woman that wears it.”

Onsale now from supermarkets, speciality stores and pharmacies nationally, the Tousle Me Softly shampoo and conditioner RRP is $5.99 each, while the Tousle Me Softly Mousse, Spray Gel and Hair Spray are RRP $6.99 each.

Get some! Tousled hair becomes an absolute cinch to achieve with these babies.
