A good magazine cover makes me gasp - this one did.
Jennifer Aniston is on the cover of the February 2011 issue of US beauty magazine Allure.
In my magazine addicted 1990s, this was top of my list.
It often showcased the work of the late, great makeup maestro Kevyn Aucoin. Nobody - and I mean nobody - did it like Kevyn.
His legacy clearly lives on in Allure's editorial style.
Allure creative director Paul Cavaco drew inspiration for Aniston's shoot - snapped by renowned photog Michael Thompson - from a 1960s photograph of Brigitte Bardot. Hairstylist Chris McMillan worked his magic by using a clip-in fringe to fully replicate the look.
Just as we were ob-sessed with replicating 'The Rachel'.
She told writer Danielle Pergament, "I love Chris, and he's the bane of my existence at the same time because he started that damn Rachel, which was not my best look. How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I've ever seen."
Whoa, Rach! Some out of dates gals are still sporting that look!
