Foxtel's Bio channel is quick off the mark in remembering the life of singer Whitney Houston this week, following her death in Los Angeles over the weekend.
On Thursday, February 16 at 8.30pm Bio will present 'Oprah and Whitney' – the last, in-depth interview of the multi-Grammy Award winner in a two hour special with talk show queen and Whitney's friend, Oprah Winfrey.
This moving interview is probably Houston’s most revealing and compelling, and in true Oprah-style, Ms O gets her guests to reveal their inner most thoughts and life ordeals on camera.
Houston opens up to Oprah about her 14 year marriage to singer Bobby Brown, her struggles with drug abuse, and why she retreated from the spotlight for many years.
She also speaks candidly about the day she left Bobby, her sadness over the death of Michael Jackson and her hopes for her future.
Following this special presentation, at 10.30pm on Thursday, February 16, Bio will broadcast the Michael Jackson 30th Anniversary Celebration which features Houston alongside Usher, Destiny’s Child, Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan and Liza Minnelli.
Then on Saturday, February 18 at 7.30pm Bio presents an exclusive biography: Whitney Houston. It tells the whole story of Whitney Houston.
With a thirst for all things Whitney at an all time high, these timely screenings will rate well and resonate with Whitney fans.
Here is Whitney's performance on the Oprah show, which also features on the special presentation on Thursday night. It gets real emotional at the 4.40 mark.
Don't miss the shows.
