Samantha Wills take a bow. The first Aussie designer on the cover of Vanity Fair Italia

It's probably pretty obv I am a huge fan of Samantha Wills's jewellery. I blog about the wearable art often.

So I was thrilled to hear some fantastic news for the brand: Samantha Wills pieces featured for the first time on the cover of Vanity Fair Italia.

And the best part? It's the first time the prestigious mag (the Italian edition is published weekly) has featured an Australian brand on the cover. There's only thing to be said about that: "meraviglioso!" ("marvellous!").

Like all the VF international editions - there have been editions for four European countries as well as the US edition - the cover stars and the trademark brand of photography is off the charts-uber cool. And VF always profile who is hot way before they become scalding.

This just-published issue of Vanity Fair features Italian actress Micaela Ramazzotti, and I love the coverline translation. Talking up her recent successes off screen and on, the mag suggests:

"E allora, chissenefrega dell'OSCAR", which means, "And so, who cares about an Oscar."

My fave part is knowing that the word "chissenefrega" made it to the cover. I always thought it meant, "who gives a f%$k." But on closer research, I discover it actually means, "who cares" or "who gives a damn."

Whatever your take, this girl - and what she's wearing - positively rocks. It all makes me proud to be an Italo-Australian.
