12/12/12 - what does it mean? Astrologer Yasmin Boland explains

And so, today's date is 12/12/12 - that once in a lifetime date.

Actually, a similar date of significance will not happen again for another 89 years.

If you're planning to get hitched, should you have booked that ceremony today for extra luck?

Not really, says renowned Australian astrologer Yasmin Boland.

"I just think people like to play around with these numbers – I don’t think they necessarily have huge, huge significance," says Yasmin.

Numerologically speaking, we’ve got lots of ones and twos in the date, so there are a lot people getting married today, and it is quite a good date to get married because of all the twos in your marriage date chart, two signifying the number of a couple.

"And it’s also particularly good for people getting remarried because there are lots of ones, which signals a ‘start’, so it’s the start of a new relationship whether it’s your first or second marriage."

And so, is there any truth to the date bringing good luck?

"No, I don’t believe this to be true," says Yasmin. "I think you make your own good luck – the date 5/7/12 could be just as lucky as 12/12/12.

"I am a firm believer that we create our own good luck and if we believe that today's date will be super lucky for you, then that’s how you feel. Lucky!"

"You completely manifest your own future. What you believe to be true, is true for you.

"And any cognitive behavioural psychologist will tell you that, as will any believer in ‘new age’ information - which is actually ‘ancient information’ - that your own reality in within your own thoughts.

"If you're getting married today - have a long and happy marriage! And if you’re not getting married today - have a long and happy marriage also. And if you’re already married, have a long and happy marriage!"

Now that is sane and sensible marriage and destiny advice.
