It's hard to believe it was 40 years ago that 'The Godfather' movie was released.
The 1972 epic film, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, is still as lauded as it was four decades ago - and is still as dramatic, haunting, confronting, gripping, emotional... and entertaining.
There are so many scenes which are a joy to watch... again and again. And again.
One of the key storylines I love to see unfold is the love story between Michael Corleone (a young and incredibly handsome and charismatic Al Pacino) and his bride, Apollonia (played by Simonetta Stefanelli).

Michael Corleone asks permission to court Apollonia:
Michael and Apollonia meet:
Michael and Apollonia's wedding:
Apollonia's car blows up:
"Leave the gun. Take the cannoli":
And of course, the horse's head:
And finally... The 'new' Godfather:
Which is your favourite scene from 'The Godfather'?
Never tire of this classic. Never. Anyone of Italian heritage is especially eager to watch this on loop. Great post, BTW... Gianna x
