Goyte on Saturday Night Live: The Comedy Channel this Saturday

That episode of Saturday Night Live featuring Australian singing sensation Goyte is screening this Saturday at 10.30pm on The Comedy Channel, exclusively on Foxtel.

Here is a preview of the madness, in which Gotye himself features in a skit where show regular’s Andy Samberg and Taran Killam hilariously recreate his phenomenally popular video 'Somebody That I Used To Know':

Men In Black III star Josh Brolin is the special guest host for the funny episode.

Gotye is joined on-stage by successful NZ singer Kimbra for her part in the infectious song – it's a debut performance for both artists on SNL in front of a live audience. Gotye also performs his hit 'Eyes Wide Open'.

The phenomenon that is 'Somebody That I Used To Know' is extraordinary, right across the globe. The single has been number one in 18 countries and the number one iTunes single in 41 countries, nearing 10 million sales since its release. It was the first single in American history to top five Billboard charts in the same week, and is also the biggest song of 2012 in the UK.

Locally Gotye has won six ARIA Awards including Single of the Year and Best Male Artist. Rolling Stone Australia named him Artist Of The Year and Best Male Artist in 2011. Last week at the 2012 APRA Awards, Gotye walked away with three of the awards for Song Of The Year  and  Most Played Australian Work for ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’, as well as Songwriter Of The Year.

The album “Making Mirrors” has been Top 10 in 17 countries and the number one iTunes album in 11 countries with over 1.5 million sales globally, also winning “Triple J Album of The Year” in 2011.

Tune into SNL this Saturday June 9 at 10.30pm, on The Comedy Channel, on Foxtel.
