The movie is Baz Luhrmann’s imagining, his lavish adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s great American novel, 'The Great Gatsby', and had crossed the $300 million mark at the global box office.

At the time, Baz Luhrmann said: “It is tremendously fulfilling for the entire team—cast and crew, all of whom labored to overcome so many obstacles to reveal the power and beauty of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s almost 90-year-old classic novel—to see such an extraordinary response from audiences of all ages and in all countries throughout the world. This film was a labor of love, and to see it resonate and be embraced in such a powerful way is incredibly gratifying, not only for myself but for my entire team.
