Longtime editor, journalist, and television presenter Lisa Wilkinson has been appointed editor-at-large for the Australian version of 'The Huffington Post', which will officially launch its Australian website on Wednesday.
Lisa, the presenter of the Nine Network's 'Today' show, is the latest addition to the local line up, and will continue her role on the TV show.
She told smh.com.au that her new job as The Huffington Post's editor-at-large "involves wandering the earth, looking for great ideas and bringing them back to the cave".
New York-based The Huffington Post is the brainchild of Arianna Huffington, and boasts 214 million readers worldwide.
And akin to The Guardian and The Daily Mail sites, The Huffington Post has chosen to grow the site by leveraging its international content through localised sites.
Read more here - including an excellent video interview with Lisa on how the role was offered.
Here is the clip which got Arianna sitting up and taking even more notice of our Lisa:
Huffington, co-founder, president and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post, said: "HuffPost Australia marks the 15th edition in HuffPost's growing global network, which is now present on six of the seven continents."
