Special K: 'Shhhhut Down Fat Talk' - Clothing Store With Mean Comments Women Make About Their Own Bodies

Special K cereal has a new ad out called “Shhhhut Down Fat Talk." Watch the soon to be viral video and story:

Says the YouTube description:

"From "joking" about cankles to destructive self-deprecation, fat talk has become part of ordinary conversation, spoken without a second thought.

We believe that fat talk is a barrier to managing our weight and, when 93% of women are doing it, we're all further from reaching our goals.

We've proven a positive approach is the key to weight management success. So we showed women what fat talk really sounds like. Let's join together to silence negativity and shout for positivity."

Special K cereal noticed how often women complain about their bodies on social media.

And they decided they wanted to address what they called “fat talk.”

The ad is part of a larger campaign by Special K being led by Tyra Banks, aimed at fighting fat talk on a massive level. They’re asking women to submit empowering selfies to the hashtag.
In the article, Tyra says:

"I don't believe in diets," the supermodel told Us, alluding to juice cleanses and that "liquid s--t," which she has dubbed the "Class Reunion diet." Detoxing might work for a red carpet or a wedding, she explained, "but the minute you bite one piece of real food, you're going to gain [the weight] right back."
