Dannii Minogue: "Fame and work have always had an impact on my family."

Last month was a toughie for Dannii Minogue.

There was her split from partner and father of her child Ethan, Kris Smith.

Soon after, mud was slung about an apparent affair with Simon Cowell.

But Dannii is clearly as tough as nails and has come out the other side, continuing doing what she loves: TV, and fashion design. [There are also rumours the X Factor will return next year.]

Now the singer-slash-clothes-designer has spoken out for the first time, about her family life post-split.

When asked by Australian Marie Claire magazine how she is coping with a 22-month-old son, without the constant support of a partner, she said:

"How do I juggle everything now? Some days with ease, some days with difficulty. I have found that, over the years, whatever happens, you have to roll with it.

"I try to take it all in my stride, but when it affects my loved ones I feel an internal struggle with the love for my work."

She adds: "Fame and work have always had an impact on my family, since I went into this business at seven years of age. It's all I know."
