Just last week I was invited to attend the first Mother and Baby magazine event, which saw me and other mums test baby and toddler equipment, which will then culminate in the Australian Mother & Baby Awards to be held in July.
The best part?
For me, it was seeing my twins' faces light up when they spotted the face painting fairy princess [for Raf, who hates his face being touched, it was his first time... that princess sprinkled some serious magic!] and seeing Estella proudly sport her face-butterfly.
Another big highlight for me was seeing some faces I love: Sally Obermeder was there, looking as beautiful as ever. Toni Pearen popped in, all glorious baby bump (and I'd just interviewed her... was fab to see her in person). And a big plus: I finally got to cuddle Pixie, Roxy's [from Sweaty Betty PR] baby girl who is just edible
Testing out the wares was a cinch for me. As a mum of twins, I now know exactly what works, what's practical, what's not.
I look forward to seeing whether the items I recommended made the cut.
The event was beautifully organised - of course it was, the Sweaty Betty team were behind its execution.
More events - where I can involve my kids - like this please! Have balloons and face painting - oh, and a life-size Strawberry Shortcake who completely entertained my tots - and I am SO there.
