Four Aussie Chefs - One Evening. All for Charity.

Opportunity to enjoy the culinary talents of four leading Aussie chefs - in one delicious evening!

Australian celebrity chefs Jared Ingersoll of Danks Street Depot, Ben O’Donoghue from Surfing the Menu, Astral’s Sean Connolly and Peter Kuruvita of Flying Fish are set to come together for a night of glamour and fine dining when Variety hosts its third annual Variety of Chefs event on Saturday September 25 from 6.30pm in the Grand Ballroom at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney.

Each chef is donating their time for the gala event and will create a mouthwatering four course degustation menu exclusively for the night, while taking the spotlight on stage as they prepare some of their delicious dishes. The evening will give Sydneysiders a unique opportunity to experience a night of top shelf wine, exquisite dining and entertainment, while getting up close and personal with some of Australia’s award winning chefs. Australian television personality Zoe Naylor will MC the evening which will also feature a host of famous faces and entertainment.

Tickets are $250 per person which will include a superb four course meal and plenty of exciting entertainment. To complete the gourmet experience Robert Oatley will be providing matching wines for each course. All funds raised will go directly to Variety, the Children’s Charity.

The night will also include a unique range of priceless experiences, lifestyle and getaway prizes all up for grabs in the auction and raffle.

Last year’s Variety of Chefs was a huge success and raised over $310, 000 to help provide for the needs of sick and disadvantaged children, with the sold out crowd of 500 people enjoying another great menu by Australia’s top chefs.

A little more about Variety: The Children's Charity is dedicated to transforming the lives of children with special needs. In 2010, Variety celebrates 35 years of enriching, improving, and transforming the lives of children in need throughout Australia. Unlike most other charitable organisations which focus on a single problem, Variety knows no boundaries in helping children in need and supports children suffering with 74 different conditions. They also set themselves apart from many other charities as that can lay claim to giving 90 cents of every dollar donated directly to helping kids in need. During Variety’s vibrant 35 year history in Australia, it has granted over $160 million in specialised medical equipment and services to individual children, children’s medical facilities, children’s emergency transport services, schools and support organisations. Survival, independence, self-esteem, mobility, communication, education, achievement, hope, joy and smiles only scratches the surface of the immeasurable life long difference Variety, the Children’s Charity has, and continues to make.
