Halloscream at Luna Park, Sydney: Halloween event

Luna Park Sydney has just announced it will play host to the city’s biggest and brightest Halloween party.

Dubbed ‘Halloscream’, the spectacular will run over two nights from Friday 31 October (and Saturday November 1) and includes live performances, dress ups and an array of exclusive surprise guests.




Across the two nights, Luna Park Sydney will play host to some of the country’s hottest talent including:

The Madden Brothers (following on from the success of Joel and Benji's new song 'We Are Done'), Home & Away stars Andrew Morley, Jackson Gallagher, Nic Westaway and Lincoln Younes, with appearances by Luke Jacobz and Zac & Jordan Stenmark, a special live performance by Taylor Henderson and sunset DJ sessions by The Loop’s Scott Tweedie and KIIS FM’s DJ KCB. Luna Park Sydney’s ‘Halloscream’ festival has something for everyone.

Inspired by Mexico’s “El Dia de Muertos” (Day of the Dead), lights and music will transform Luna Park Sydney’s historic architecture and amusements into a magical sea of colour and rhythm. Visitors to the park are encouraged to embrace the spirit of Halloween by wearing fancy dress, with prizing being awarded to the best dressed.

Other special attractions in park include:

Maze Runner
A world-first partnership with film giant, Twentieth Century Fox. To celebrate the upcoming release of this year’s highly anticipated action blockbusterThe Maze Runner, the colossal labyrinth from the film will come to life in The Maze Runner Adventure – Live!. An attraction being built exclusively within Luna Park Sydney.

Alone
The infamous Mirror Maze is getting it’s very own ‘Halloscream’ make over, the Alone Mirror Maze experience plunges guests into darkness and terrifies with unexpected thrills and surprises.

Fancy Dress
Official make-up artists will be on hand to turn park-goers into Walking Dead zombies, visitors will then be invited to immortalise their image in the ‘Halloscream’ Walking Dead photo booth.

The event will be held in collaboration with Camp Quality Australia and used to drive awareness and celebrate the work of the charity. Special Camp Quality activities and fund raising opportunities will take place throughout the Park during the event.

Throughout the park there will be Day of the Dead parades, make- up artists, lucha-libre wrestling and pop-up food and drink tasting stations.


For younger audience members, a special Trick or Treat layout will be created where they can undertake the famous Halloween tradition within the safety of the Luna Park environment.


Plus The Maze Runner Adventure – Live! where in a world-first partnership with film giant, Twentieth Century Fox, the colossal labyrinth from the film will come to life in an attraction built exclusively for Luna Park Sydney.


HalloScream has something for everyone - it looks set to be Sydney’s biggest Halloween celebration.


Tickets to the event start from $39.95 and are strictly limited. Special family package deals are also available. Purchase or upgrade to a Luna Park Sydney Annual Pass prior the Halloween and receive a ticket to HalloScream for free.

Luna Park Sydney has now announced performances from Jessica Mauboy and Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance






Celebrity Guests
Australian singing sensation, Jessica Mauboy is the most recent celeb to join the all-star Halloween cast appearing in-park on Saturday 1 November, to perform some of her hit songs.  Jessica will be joining an impressive line-up including: international chart topping duo and judges on The Voice, Joel and Benji Madden who will be meeting and greeting fans to sign autographs and pose for photographs, Aria number 1 selling artist Taylor Henderson who will be performing on Friday 31 October, host Luke Jacobz, an ensemble of Home and Away stars including: Nic Westaway, Andrew Morley, Kyle Pryor and Jackson Gallagher and International model twins Zac and Jordan Stenmark.

Guests will settle in for the Halloscream Sunset Sessions as The Loop’s Scott Tweedie and KIIS FM’s DJ KCB hit the decks. Attendees can also participate in the festival’s interactive social station ‘the Hub’ hosted by Big Brother’sAnthony Drew.

In Park Activity
Hit comedy of the year, 22 Jump Street, will make an appearance in park on Saturday November 1 as the hilarious football helmet shaped golf cart drives its way into the Halloween festivities.

In Park Performances
Performers from Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance will deliver a surprise flash mob, a spectacular fusion of dance and theatre. Channelling the theme of Day of the Dead, guests are in for a feast for the eyes as the dancers take them on a terrifying journey through movement.

Luna Park Sydney’s Halloscream event is proudly supporting Camp Quality, multiple events and activities will be taking place on the night in the hopes of raising $20,000 to help 12 seriously ill children.
