'Rocky': Newly Remastered DVD Giveaway + Posters

To celebrate the newly re-mastered release of the cult classic movie 'Rocky' on Blu-ray - released to mark the 90th anniversary of MGM - boxing legend Jeff Fenech (he's a a three-weight world champion and a boxing trainer) last night hosted a private screening of the film at Hoyts Cinema Paris, at Fox Studios Entertainment Quarter

Pre-screening, Jeff shared with the eager crowd stories about his close friend, the man who plays Rocky, Sylvester Stallone as well as his brother Frank, and talked about the parallels from the movie and his own journey.

And then, the movie. The 1976 classic has stood the test of time: heart-warming performances, a triumph over adversity story, and an epic, stirring soundtrack. It was all there and all rather fantastic to revisit

The private event hosted a number of key sporting talent (Olympian John Steffensen, Sydney Swans star Ryan O'Keefe), as well as emerging boxing talent Brock Jarvis. Mario Fenech, Australian rugby league personality and regular guest on 'The Footy Show' also was there for a meet and greet and photo opps. Media and a handful of lucky competition winners also came along to the event.

'Rocky' was nominated for 10 Academy Awards, and won three, including the Oscar for Best Picture. The story of a struggling Philadelphia club fighter (Stallone) who gets a once in a lifetime opportunity to fight for love, glory and self-respect inspired all who watched it. And watched it, and watched it again.
